This is a huge advancement for medical training for mental health!
HOSA week 2019 is this week. Members attended a professional panel put on by Myrtue Medical Center staff and some yummy pizza on Monday. Tuesday was scrubs and goody bags made for local EMS police, fire and Medivac employees. Thursday is HOSA t-shirts and breakfast donated by Hy-Vee! Awesome week!
Another really cool project In honor of Ayzlee McCarthy is these blankets made for Blank Children’s Hospital patients. Amber Cunningham McCarthy collects them and delivers them on the anniversary of Ayzlee’s passing on Dec 29. She will take any donations made to Blank for us and they will be passed out to kids that are in the hospital. 💜

Harlan HOSA students, along with area clubs, are gathering NEW stuffed animals to be given away at flu shot clinics this Fall in honor of Ayzlee McCarthy, who lost her life to complications of Influenza A and B 5 years ago at the tender age of 3 years old. Flu clinics in her honor will be held Oct. 19 in Atlantic . Oct. 21 in Elk Horn, and Oct. 25 in Harlan 4-7pm at Shelby County Public Health office. Kids ages 5 and under will receive a stuffed animal until they are gone.
NEW Stuffed animals of any size can be dropped off at Harlan High School office any time up until Oct. 25.
