Bought two orders of fish and chips for take-out for my wife and me on Sunday evening. They were great, as good as any I have had anywhere in the area and they were quite affordable. Will order again soon!

Between now and Valentine’s Day, the Jeudevine Library is hosting a contest by which you visit your favorite local businesses and drop change (either from home by buying something while you're there). The dollars collected will be tallied and we'll have a winner at V-Day. The winner gets a special brick in the walkway to the new library!

It's a popularity contest... it's a way to put coins back into circulation... it's a way to clean out your coin jars... and the end result is a new library with actual places to sit down! All proceeds will go to the Furniture Fund for the new library.

We have jars at the following places: Connie's Kitchen, The Village Restaurant, Buffalo Mountain Food Coop, Whistle Emporium, The Galaxy Bookshop, Birdsong Beer & Wine, Front Seat Coffee, and Vermont Natural Coatings. You are also welcome to drop them off at the library!

Here are some more photos from the overnight fire with a temperature of -15 degrees and wind-chill of up to -40 degrees. It was cold to say the least. Even the coffee froze. Here are also photos of the clean up after of frozen hose, trucks and firefighters. Thank you to all the fire departments that helped us out and Hardwick Emergency Rescue Squad and a huge thanks to Lyn, from The Village Restaurant, who at 5 am was able to quickly get some food and coffee together to feed the cold, tired and hungry firefighters. So sorry to the people that lost their home.
