THE UNEXPECTED SPARK OF POCO’S COMEBACK:
“Call It Love” (1989) was special as it became Poco’s final Top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. After nearly two decades devoted to country-rock, it also marked their first return to the upper charts since the 1970s. Featured on the album Legacy, the song highlighted the rare reunion of the original lineup—Richie Furay, Jim Messina, Rusty Young, Randy Meisner, and George Grantham. As a result, the track stood as both a “rebirth” for a generation of pioneering musicians and the last time Poco would touch the peak of commercial success.

Join us this coming Saturday, July 12th at Bourbon Mill on the deck 6-10 pm. Our drummer, Mike Hirsh, will be undergoing shoulder and arm surgery on July 9th and will miss this one but he'll be back to sing on the remaining summer dates during his recovery. We'll be blessed to have original 6¢ drummer/vocalist, JJ Dugan filling in for Mike on most dates and at our next Goofy's Eatery & Spirits gig we'll have our longtime former drummer/vocalist Jim Hinckley joining us onstage. Come on out to the shows!
