June is here.
Not every reset has to be a major project.
Sometimes it starts with clearing one surface, choosing something lighter, and creating a calmer corner to enjoy.
As summer settles in, a few small changes can make home feel lighter, brighter, and easier to breathe in.

June is almost here, and Lemon Grove Incense feels like the right scent for the shift into summer.
It has a bright citrus feeling that works well for warm mornings, open windows, fresh laundry days, and quick home resets when the room needs to feel lighter.
Simple, sunny, and easy to reach for when the house needs a little fresh air feeling.
A good scent for the start of summer.

June starts Monday, and this month is about easing the house into summer without making it a whole project.
I wrote about simple ways to make home feel calmer: clearing one surface, changing the scent of the room, creating one quiet corner, and building a small evening reset so the day has a softer ending.
Read it here:
A June Reset for a Calmer Home June starts on Monday, and with it comes a natural shift in the rhythm of the home. The days are longer. The light lasts later. Mornings feel warmer. Evenings start to stretch. Summer is not fully settled in yet, but you can feel it arriving — in the air, in the garden, in the way the house begins...

Naturing Relaxation is ready for its next chapter.
I’ve been working on growing the business beyond Etsy, building up my website, and preparing for future in-person events so customers can shop Naturing Relaxation in a more personal way.
I started a GoFundMe to help with some of the larger upfront costs that come with that kind of growth — things like event setup, supplies, packaging, signage, labels, and website improvements.
This shop has been built one batch, one order, and one step at a time. I’m ready to keep growing it into something stronger and more sustainable.
The fundraiser link is below. Shares are appreciated, and thank you for supporting handmade small business.

Monday Scent Pick: Fairy Garden Incense
Some Mondays need a little softness.
Fairy Garden Incense is one of our core scents, with a gentle floral feel inspired by a quiet cottage garden in bloom. It’s light, airy, and easy to enjoy when you want your home to feel a little fresher, calmer, and more welcoming at the start of the week.
Light it while you ease into your morning, tidy up from the weekend, answer messages, or take a few quiet minutes for yourself.
Handmade in small batches by Naturing Relaxation.

A little behind-the-scenes moment from the worktable.
My incense starts as a dough-like mixture before it is shaped, dried, and later scented by hand in small batches. It is slow work, but that is part of what makes handmade incense feel different.

Make Do and Mend for Autumn: 1940s Home Warmth on a Budget
This week on the blog, we’re turning back the clock to the 1940s — a time when warmth came from creativity, not convenience.
From patching worn quilts and darning sweaters to using Poly-Fill in draft stoppers and baking a simple Wartime Cake, “Make Do and Mend” is as practical today as it was 80 years ago. It’s about caring for what we already have — and finding joy in the doing.
If you’re drawn to sustainability, vintage living, or just want to make your home a little cozier this fall, this post is for you.

Even on the home front, comfort was something you made — not something you bought.
A pot of vegetable soup, a warm apple pudding, and a loaf cooling by the window could turn an ordinary evening into peace.
During the 1940s, meals weren’t about plenty — they were about gratitude, family, and finding warmth in the simple things. And maybe that’s what we still need most today.
When life feels uncertain or rushed, slow down. Make something humble and good. Fill your kitchen with the kind of comfort that never goes out of style. 🍲🍎

Hello there 🌿
Thank you so much for reaching out! If your package isn’t currently tracking with USPS, please note that there have been major shipping delays due to the recent Nor’easter that caused flooding across several areas. In addition, there was a federal holiday yesterday, and no mail movement over the weekend (Saturday or Sunday), which has caused USPS tracking updates to be delayed.
Packages are still being processed and will begin scanning once USPS resumes full operations in the affected regions. I truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this time — your order is still on its way and will begin updating as soon as the postal system catches up.
Thank you again for supporting my small handmade shop and for being so kind through this weather chaos. 💛
Warmly,
Heather — Naturing Relaxation
