GHCT's Goat
Ghillie, the Greater Hamilton Civic Theatre Goat. I am full of fluff and a love for theatre!
You will most likely find me playing dress up in the Palace window, promoting our current production.

My Human Assistant was eating some Chinese food and found this in a cookie...very wise. Come embrace joy this Saturday with me and GHCT at Hamilton Pride!
Did you know Hamilton Pride is coming up this weekend?!
Did you know GHCT will have a booth?!
Most importantly...did you know that yours truly will be there, dressed to the nines for you to take photos with?!
Come see us, say hello, and snap a pic with a starrrrrr of the staaaaaage. I'll even be in a special costume! See you there! Happy Pride!
Conbahhhhhhhgulations to the fine folks that get everything moving behind the scenes before we even pick up a script!
The theatre doesn't run on magic (trust me, I've tried) and the board keeps it running smoothly! Thanks for your hard work!

So much work went into dolling up the Palace for tomorrow's fundraiser! Lifting heavy tables, hauling chairs, scrubbing and dusting and prettying everything up, making a space for the artist...anyway; I'm sure that was a lot of work for my Human Assistant?
But stars don't lift heavy things, and who's the star of this whole shebang if not me? I even had the Assistant find me a more appropriate chair for my grand appearance.
See you tomorrow for fine art and bubbly! Don't be late! Bah bah!

Big news, folks! I've been told the 2026 season is all about American Classics! And honestly, who is more of an American Classic than me? They say a star is born every day, and it's my time to shine!
So with that in mind, allow me to introduce the 2026-2027 GHCT season starring yours truly!
We start off in the fall with 1776. This is a rousing story about what happened behind the scenes during the writing and signing of the Declaration of Independence! It has laughter! Tears! Drama! Political intrigue! A friendly reminder that musicals about this time period existed before 2015! It will be directed by GHCT's own Scott Christian and you will all be the first to know about auditions when it's time (and also the first to congratulate me for becoming the first goat to ever star in a musical!)
Moving forward a bit to the winter, you'll find us thawing out your funny bones with The Man Who Came to Dinner! This classic American stage play is, as far as I can tell, both a fantastic opportunity for me to break into comedy AND a cautionary tale on why it's important to de-ice your front steps! Perfect for the winter! Directed by Mark Lunsford, this laugh riot will hit the stage in February of 2027, so don't forget it! Now I just need to learn how to read so I can figure out all those big words...
Lastly, we close out our season of American Classics with an absolute titan of the American musical, Singin' in the Rain! Adapted from the classic film, this beloved musical takes place in the *only* place where something this grand ever could: Hollywood! Directed by Katelyn Quinn, come out next spring to see classic songs and some extremely impressive tap dancing! (Just putting it out there, I think hooves would make for outstanding natural tap shoes...)
As you can see, I clearly have my work cut out for me this year, but getting a chance to become the star I was born to be is worth every second of it!
As for you? Mark your calendars, keep your eyes peeled for audition dates, behind the scenes looks, and more! Don't forget you can always head to GHCTplay.org for season ticket information!
I can't wait for you to see ME at the theatre! Bah bah for now!
