Here's the data from yesterday's 2K11 testing with Federal HST 124gr +p. As far as accuracy testing goes the V6+3 had the best group of the day 1.51" but when averaged with all the groups it performed the worst. There are a lot of variables when it comes to accuracy testing.
1: The table at the range I use isn't completely fixed. It has a little bit of play in it which is probably why I get slightly better groups shooting from a bench rest vs the ransom rest.
2: The test was with 3 different barrels. I have found that production barrels can produce drastically different group sizes from barrel to barrel.
3: This test was only with 1 type of ammo. Other ammo might produce better results.
I like sharing my results because I like transparency. If .24" or .70" larger group sizes with ported barrels at 25 yards is a turn off for you then that's fine. If a less than 4% loss in velocity is no go for you then that's fine too. Does a 45% to 50% reduction in recoil outweigh those negatives? That's for you to decide.
Little clip from today's test. Kimber 2K11 5" stock vs GR8 ports vs V6+3 ports all with Federal HST 124gr +P. There are more targets to measure than what is shown here. The best 25 yard group of the day was actually from the V6 + 3 even though it technically performed the worst while I was videoing. The other factor is that these were 3 different barrels and only tested with 1 type of ammo. Each barrel might perform differently with other types of ammo. Overall today's test reinforces what I've seen from my other guns. Ports (at least my ports) with good ammo are going to be more or less as accurate as the barrel was before porting. I'll get all the groups measured and add the data to spreadsheet. Stay tuned...

More Kimber 2K11 testing is happening today. Stock barrel, vs V6 + 3 barrel, vs GR8 ported barrel. Going to use the good ammo for today's test. Federal HST 124+P.

Finished 12th overall in this weekend's IDPA match.
Shot my 1st IDPA match this morning. It was fun! I was pretty happy with how I did minus 2 procedurals on the last stage that cost me 6 seconds. Fun way to spend a Saturday morning. I definitely want to try it again.
Week 24. I lost my deck of cards so I used a 223 box. 15 yard fail. Only 1 hit. Stock Echelon 4.5 with 509t green dot. After that I decided to do something I never do and move a little. I look like a sloth. Lol. Gunset Training Group, LLC
3.5" Romulus I finished up yesterday. The laser engraving was done by someone else. I added the 4 inline ports and front serration windows.
Closer look at the PBJ 19x slide. This is an oem slide with our Alpha cut, GR8 porting, and optic cut. PBJ themed camo cerakote by Kote & Dagger Customs. Pairs nicely with the PBJ trigger from Tacticalpontoon .

PB&J G19x with our Alpha cut, RMR optic cut, rear sight delete, and GR8 ports. PBJ camo job by Kote & Dagger Customs. This should look awesome on the G19x frame with the Tacticalpontoon trigger. Can't wait to see the full build.
