Finding axel

I am writing this because, even after all this time, I still don't have the truth about what happened to my dog, Axel.
Back in 2020, I was facing housing insecurity and had to make the heart-wrenching choice to place Axel in what was supposed to be temporary care. We had a clear, verbal/written agreement: I would have visiting rights, daily contact, and most importantly, I was to be called immediately if anything went wrong.Instead, the people I trusted cut me off completely. When I finally got an answer, they claimed he had been put down to "avoid a lawsuit."
To this day, I have never been given:The name of the vet who supposedly did it.Any paperwork or medical records.An offer of his ashes or a chance to say goodbye.
At the time, I was told this was done in secret to protect them legally, but looking back, the math doesn't add up. You don't ignore a desperate owner’s agreement during a crisis unless you are hiding something. I’ve always felt that they either rehomed him behind my back or surrendered him to a shelter because they didn't want to honour our temporary arrangement anymore.
I am posting this now because I still need closure. If anyone in the Niagara region even Grimsby, West Lincoln Stony Creek and Hamilton seeing a purebred German Rottweiler matching his description being rehomed or found around Noverember of 2020 to present please reach out.I was trying to do the right thing for my dog while I got back on my feet, and I deserve to know where he actually ended up.

This handsome boi, I hate how much you not being here effects me, I miss you more then you could imagine....with every day that passes I sink deeper into this depression, I will never lose hope that we'll find our way to each other. xo
