Still Stitching
A colorful, comprehensive documentary on the passion for vintage sewing machines.
Several years ago we attempted to build a social network called Quilter's Bug. It was Brenda's brainchild and I worked weeks upon weeks on it. Her job was to post on the site and have fun. Mine was to do all of the work, and I can't begin to tell you how many hours I spent on it. The site worked beautifully, but it was a *terrible* idea because the sewing community is already fueled so well by existing platforms like Facebook. A few wonderful members tried to help us keep it afloat, but it was destined for failure. So eh... I built a social network platform. Just something else I threw at the wall to see if it would stick for Brenda when she asked for it. I ended up working on sewing machines, and she did not.

WE ARE CLOSED. Still Stitching is sadly no more. My illness made it impossible to continue in spite of Brenda's urging and in spite of hiring a very expensive painter. The painter made so many mistakes that I was working double shifts to correct them. There simply was no one else in our orbit who could do what I do, and I had to quit for my mental health. The Featherweight Mafia, named by a friend in the business, is real, and I leave it to others to contend with. I will write a full narrative to explain our history, why our work is done, and what the future holds for me. Please also think of Brenda - this has been stressful for her as she has had to notify customers. Candidly, this work nearly put me in a psychiatric hospital, and the people around me did not care. I'm not bitter. I'm relieved to move on. My expertise and passion lie elsewhere. Thank you to the Still Stitching family. - James G. Wolfensberger

Some of you who have followed us for sometime may recall a beautiful painting my MIL did of my Featherweight. She is such a gifted artist.
She has out done herself on these trees. They are for sale and can be shipped to your home in time for the hoidays.
If you are interested and would like more photos, let me know. I can attest to the number of hours put into each of these. And the countless pieces of jewelry or beads and crystals. They are more beautiful in person.
