We’re proud to celebrate local student talent!
Laura Oates Design, in partnership with the Boonsborough Museum of History, recognized Natalie DeBaugh, a junior at Boonsboro High School, for excellence in design as the winner of the Student Poster Design Contest.
This project, presented to students by Laura Oates Design, gave students real-world experience, challenging them to create a poster highlighting the renovations at the Boonsborough Museum of History. After one-on-one feedback and revisions, thirty final designs were submitted. Congratulations to Natalie on her winning design! Her poster will be displayed in the store front window of the museum.
A special thank you to Mr. Fink for his dedication to teaching and inspiring creativity, and to all the talented students who participated.

As part of the exciting renovation of the Boonsboro Museum of History, local graphic designer
Laura Oates with Laura Oates Design partnered with students from Boonsboro High School to create
an informational poster that we will reveal on Tuesday, March 24th at 6:30 at the Boonsboro Library.
Students in Mr. Fink’s Graphic Design class were invited to participate in a real-world design project:
developing a poster that explains the museum’s current construction and improvements. After
presenting the project to the class, students created and submitted their own original poster designs.
The museum reviewed the submissions and selected one design to represent the project publicly.
We are grateful to the talented students who participated and shared their creativity with our
community. We would like to invite all the students who submitted a design and our Boonsboro (and beyond) community to come congratulate Natalie and see her winning design.
Check out the latest Parks and Rec guide. I’m loving all the patriotic themes I get to design for my clients this year with the 250th anniversary! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Last night was the unveiling of 2 new spirits The Grille at Runways has distilled just for their restaurant at the Rider Jet Center. There is a navy strength rum and a vodka. I am honored to be the designer to design their labels for both bottles.

The SouthEnd Shopping Center has a fresh new sign! After a strong storm rolled through town this past spring and destroyed the original (which had stood for decades!), they took the opportunity to modernize their look.
They reached out to me to redesign the sign, and I was excited to help bring a new visual identity to such a familiar local landmark.

I had the opportunity to create something bold and unique for Chuckie Johnson’s campaign. At his request, we stepped away from the traditional red and blue and went with an eye-catching orange to help him stand out from the crowd. Have these signs caught your attention around town?
