Maggie Lavin scored four goals to lead top seed Hand to a 14-7 victory over No. 2 Branford in the CIAC Class M girls lacrosse championship Saturday morning at Rafferty Stadium.

It was the first CIAC championship for the Tigers (19-3), who lost in the final last year to New Fairfield. It was also the third time Hand defeated Branford (17-5) this season.

4. Will Levis
Will Levis had an incredible two year run with the Wildcats, but the 10-3 season in 2021 will forever be remembered as one of the best Kentucky teams to ever take the field. Levis is sixth all time in the Kentucky history books with 5,232 passing yards. Levis also ranks fifth all time in career passing touchdowns with 43. As he was a bit of a dual threat as a tough, physical runner, Levis' 54 total touchdowns ranks him fourth behind the next and obvious top three quarterbacks.

Was going to post some BS that I heard today but decided to be positive. After the Class Championships this weekend in outdoor track our athletes now have earned 9🥇,10🥈,6🥉,20 4th place, 6 5th place, 9 6th place, 11 7th place and 12 8th place. Chelsea was our first champion in 2000 winning the 100m in Class L. Other 🥇were earned in 100m H, Discus, High Jump, 4x400m Relay, Pole Vault and 4x100m Relay.
