New Life Furniture & Decor

Ok so I had this plant stand that I wasn’t sure what to do with. lol. So I painted it and then set it aside. Sometimes I just have to wait, sure enough inspiration struck. I used to work with silks a lot back in the day but even when you catch them on sale they are still expensive but I wanted to try the pool noodle thing and so I dove in. It turned out so beautiful! I thought this would be so pretty at someone’s front door. Let me know if you’re interested.

Well I had another headboard in my inventory and since I was in the groove creating the black bench I thought I would just continue on and create this one too. lol. I really love how it turned out and the “welcome” placard added a nice touch. This time I distressed the front edge of the seat and that turned out to be a good choice. Loving this one too.

So I’m a little behind on my posts but this one was so much fun to create. I think it was one end of a day bed but now it’s a super cute bench. Love it with or without the cute pillows. lol. Currently it’s located at The Oxbow Market 5mi west of Neosho Mo but only until the end of May. After that it will be back at home for sale out of my workshop.

This little didy had such good bones about her, and very sturdy. She looks so clean and new now. Love it!

This poor little thing probably should have gone to the burn pile but I love a challenge. lol. She had some water damage at the bottom so that got cut off and replaced with some pretty trim. She also got all new drawer bottoms/k***s and a new backside and lid with trim there as well. Oh and feet. lol. I love it!

So this little cabinet also started off in a sad state. It seems like this is going to be my thing. lol. It appeared to be the top of something else at some point and none of the drawers were equal in size which I thought made it super funky and fun. She got a new lid, bottom and some feet. Add the baskets in and voila, a super cute and funky cabinet that could go anywhere. I love it! She is at the boutique now waiting for her new home.

This cute little gem started off pretty sad. lol. It is a home made cabinet I picked up by accident but I decided to redo this one for my Airbnb. And as you can see she is just what I needed for storage of cleaning supplies and extra bedding. She got a new lid, a little trim, new k***s and some paint and I am loving it.

I love this piece. It was in pretty bad shape when I got it and for a hot minute I thought I had bitten off more than I could chew but it turned out beautifully. I especially love the accent paper on the back wall. I just wish it had come with the keys, that would have been a nice touch. This beautiful piece sold today at The Oxbow Market in Neosho Mo.

This little project I did for myself. My husband and two boys, when they were little, built these Adirondack chairs for me for Mother’s Day. So that was about 20 years ago and I have not been able to part with them. I have thrown paint at them over the years but they were looking pretty sad and I needed chairs for a new area of deck we just built so to work on them I went. I decided to go with white since they will be in the sun most of the day. I am hoping they won’t be hot to sit in that way.

My daughter encouraged me to make a couple Noodle Benches. So I went to work and boy did it turn out cute. I made it 5 ft long so it could live at the foot of a bed but it could also live in an entry way, something to perch on when putting on or removing your shoes.
