Har-Ber Village on Grand Lake O' The Cherokees

Will regular admission be charged on the homeschool day? Does everyone need reservations, or just groups?
is mask required if you have a breathing medical condition like COPD?
Is there a Civil War Days this year ?
We had our wedding reception 10/26/2019 at the Event Tent here at Har-Ber Village. I have to say, it was the perfect spot to host our reception. I knew from the moment I saw the venue, there was a gem in the waiting. We added a lot of flair but this little place has a ton of charm and space for what we needed. They supplied us with the tables and chairs, sound equipment, buffet tables and some of the fall decor outside. We added a lot of extras but the place looked so nice! I highly recommend this location if you’re looking to have a reception or even a wedding here. It’s a beautiful location with lots of lovely places to take pictures. The staff was friendly and helpful. Thank you Har-Ber for one of the best nights of our life!
Just bid farewell to Amelia Decker Chamberlain, a Director who has done amazing things for Har-Ber village, inclusive of the local community, the four state community, and the Native community as well! I truly hate to see her leave because I’m not sure Har-Ber Village will ever reach this level of excellence again. The Board will have a hard time finding someone to fill Amelia’s shoes! Best wishes to you, Amelia, you’ll do great things in Stillwater! ♥️
This little baby was watching me water the morning glories.
It is peaceful and enjoyable. You will feel like one with nature. Great place to visit that you will not forget.
Even during the off season you can enjoy a walk along the lake with your dog on the Har-Ber Village Nature Trails.
If you were thinking about getting to Harber Village this year, and/or trying out their new walking path. Tomorrow would definitely be the day to give it a try. It is absolutely gorgeous out there right now. Enjoy, RC
I love Har-Ber Village. Our gggrandfather built the little schoolhouse, and that makes it all so very special to us. We have visited many times, even though we live far away, we make it a must to show our grandchildren. Are they going to be open during Thanksgiving week? We are planning a trip there if they are...[I'm sure not Thanksgiving day, but earlier in the week?]

Har-Ber Village Museum celebrates the bygone era of pioneer life in Oklahoma. There are no words to describe the feeling that overcomes you as you drive into the grounds at Har-Ber Village Museum and walk the paths through the Village.

A visit to this quiet little community on the banks of Grand Lake definitely takes you back in time to a slower paced era when things were handmade and homemade. Har-Ber Village Museum, on the picturesque wooded shores of Grand Lake o’ the Cherokees in Grove, Oklahoma, is the site of a pioneer-era village and history museum of over 100 exhibits displayed inside authentic log cabins and reproductio

The new dye garden was planted by the Living History cabin Saturday. Dye plants in the beds include madder, coreopsis, marigolds, and Japanese indigo. We will be collecting materials and periodically doing dye demonstrations on advertised Saturdays throughout the season.

Due to last night’s storm a number of our living historians suffered water damage and will be leaving this morning. We still will have some demonstrations this morning, and the working exhibits in the Village will be staffed as well. It appears the next round of storms will be moving in early afternoon, at which time most of the demonstrators will pull out, but they will be here up until then.

Some of our Rendezvous volunteers will be leaving tomorrow morning due to storm damage to their homes. Additionally, we will be monitoring the weather, as the chance for rain has increased. We will post updates on the event Sun morning.
