Hi Brinda. I

Long Term Rentals and Property Management Services. Disclaimer: Some properties may be owner/agent owned Rentals, Property Management (Residential & Commercial), Real Estate Sales

Hello Friends, I’d like to introduce you to our company and give you a little of our background as you begin your rental life or investment opportunity. The origination of our property management began many moons ago with the Queen of Real Estate and rentals, Mrs. Lesa Duffield. She and husband Robert (aka: BOB) handled property management in Grove for 30+ years, initially as 3-D Properties. In 2008, Lesa opened the Crye-Leike Realtors branch office, under owner Harold Crye and continued her company licensed through the brokerage, changing the name under Crye-Leike (a new regulation placed by the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission and HOW property management shall operate). Lesa was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013 and lost her battle in July 2016. During this time, she hired Brinda Russell (me) to assist and learn the company and continue her success. Might I add I was also pregnant with a baby due August 6th!! Myra was born just 9 days after Lesa’s passing and brought a light to such a dark time but adding a brand-new baby into the mix of real estate life, property management (to which I was still learning all the tricks and trades from Lesa), Bob dealing with the loss of his best friend and love of his life…it was truly treacherous times we had in the beginning of the new journey to the company! WE MADE IT THOUGH! We contemplated off and on of opening our own company, but it was a bittersweet to leave behind all Lesa had built. Finally, in the summer of this year (2020), we decided it was the right thing and right time to move on and continue to build. The new office opened late September and we now operate under Grove Real Estate & Rentals! I never would have thought in the very beginning of my real estate schooling or career, I would have anything to do with rental property or Brokering but here I am, doing both…it’s amazing how God can change your direction in life so drastically, but he knows what he is doing. With-in our processing of this decision, Bob decided it was time to semi-retire and sold all his rentals, yes, all 30 properties he owned! Blessed, my husband (Shawn) and I were able to purchase them and continue the journey on a more personal level. So again, here we are. The new office is located at 212 W 4th ST and man has THAT been a journey in itself! A full remodel was in store but what life we have brought to this old little farmhouse of its time! (I for one am ready for it to be completed but hey, this is what we do, right!) We offer real estate needs, property management, and just a place to help out our community and people as much as possible and those in need. Grove Real Estate & Rentals is a FAMILY office so upon entering, you will find my kids in office, Myra running around like she’s the boss (a given considering she was at “work” just 3 days old doing billing with me), Bobs grandkids, coloring pages and toys all around, care and love, and hopefully just a very Welcoming feeling when you come in (after remodel is finished of course). We all cannot wait to see what the future has in store for our company and the places God will take it! We would like to thank everyone who has been a part of this journey and got here with us. I want to thank Bob and Lesa especially for giving me this opportunity and teaching me the ways along the road. I look forward to growing our company in more ways than one and continuing the legacy Lesa so heavily build…it’s tough shoes to fill but we are doing our best! A few to personally thank because we, I, would not be here if it weren’t for you so THANKS goes out to a few: Lesa of course, Bob for being right by my side and becoming my adopted dad, my husband and children for their patience as rentals in itself is a full time gig on top of throwing real estate sales in there, Debbie Littlefield of whom stayed on me for 3 years to get my real estate license AND selling our first home to us, all the agents at the Crye-Leike office (past and present) for helping and teaching me through my first year of being a Realtor, Ben and Ed for giving Shawn and I this new opportunity and journey, and foremost my Lord and Savior for taking me far beyond what I thought my goals in life were and showing me where my direction was needed. Welcoming 2021 and its endeavors! So…this is us! Happy Renting everyone! If you own a rental and would be interested in taking advantage of our property management program, please contact our office to set up a meeting. (Brinda Russell 918/353-4009)

If you are looking for a rental, applications may be picked up at our office or emailed. All applicants are subject to a credit/background check ($20 due from applicant(s)), with completed application and verification of income. (Brinda Russell 918/353-4009)

AVAILABLE RENTALS can be found in the photos. Go to Photos/View All (Albums) and each home is located in a separate photo album with the title cover being the amount of monthly rent and address of home. After school pick up is always a bit crazy the first few days of school. You can help, by not lining up early to pick up your students. This helps traffic flow with our staggered release times. Please be patient and have grace as everyone figures out their new routine for the school year! #ridgerunnernation #beachampion #childreneducationcommunity

More details in the other post I shared...

A momentous day! Proud to work with our Council as we continue to respond to and recover from COVID-19. The Council’s actions today paves the way for more detailed discussion about how to best utilize $1.8 billion in federal ARPA funds, and immediately approves the expenditure of funds for payments to every Cherokee citizens of $2,000. More details to follow on what was approved how to apply for the COVID impact payments. However, I’m please to have council support (16-1) as we move forward to make positive generational impact across the Cherokee Nation.

PSA!!! YOU NEED TO READ!!!!!!! This is a post from the mayor of Jay, haven't seen any similar post from Grove yet but THIS IS TRUE AND YOU NEED TO BE AWARE!!!! Basically your bill is going to be outrageous next month so you need to be informed. Please do what you need to to save money back because there has been nothing said yet on how they are going to pass this on to the customers and if you get hit with a couple thousand dollar gas bill next month and the next, you need to start saving now all you can. THIS MESSAGE IS FOR EVERYONE IN GROVE THAT HAS GAS IN YOUR HOME NOT JUST MY RENTERS BUT IF YOU ARE MY RENTER, PLEASE LIKE OR COMMENT SO I KNOW YOU'VE SEEN THIS! :( I'll post any updated info I can as I know it and please do your part on research and calling your city officials if need be. (I don't live in town so unfortunately I have no say).

[02/17/21]   Holiday shores renters...major water leak & they still haven’t located it! If you don’t have water this is why...if you can look around your properties to see if you see anything out of the ordinary it would be appreciated! Plus it’ll get your water back on quicker!

[02/16/21]   Hey everyone! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take EVERY precaution to protect your home from the weather! Open cabinet doors to let heat in under the sinks, shut windows up (even with towels or blankets if necessary) to keep heat in and cold out, run a small stream- not just a drip of water from faucets EVERY night. Looks like we're in for it again tomorrow with more snow and things aren't warming up the next couple days. Especially with the utilities companies shutting powers off and on like they are. For those who've had frozen pipes and we brought heaters, please continue to check those and make sure they are still running. Stay safe, stay warm and let me know if you need anything. #winterstinks #warmweathergirl #happyrenting

GPS administration and board members feel it is important to communicate our plan for the winter weather in the week ahead. Trying the weigh the challenges of bone chilling temperatures, continued instructional time, snowy conditions and allowing time for parents to plan, we have developed the following plan for the week of February 15th:
Monday: School closed for President’s Day
Tuesday: Traditional Snow Day
Wednesday-Friday: Distance Learning

We understand that the winter weather conditions are always changing and if changes to this plan need to occur, we will announce those when the time comes.
Plans for meal distribution on distance learning days are pending as it depends on the ability to receive deliveries to our cafeteria. Please stay tuned as we get closer to those days.

We know distance learning isn’t the best learning environment for most of our students, however it prevents students from experiencing instructional gaps and from us adding instructional days at the end of the school year. Stay warm. Stay safe. Stay healthy. #ridgerunnernation #beachampion #childreneducationcommunity

02/09/2021

Due to current icy conditions and the forecast for ongoing frigid temperatures, Grove Public Schools will be entering distance learning for the remainder of this week. There is NO SCHOOL Monday, February 15th in observation of President’s Day. In person learning will resume on Tuesday, February 16th. All students need to check in with their teachers on distance learning days in order to be counted in attendance. If you have questions, please contact your child’s teachers. Stay safe and warm Ridgerunners! #ridgerunnernation #beachampion #childreneducationcommunity
