The hot rod movement of the 1950s was about cars and car clubs. In 1955, a Jefferson High School senior was a U.S.
As early as 1952, the Pharaohs of Jefferson High School in Portland, OR, were part of the "fever pitch" of the hot rod movement.
βIn the '50s, if you weren't part of a car club or into cars, you were "Square." The Pharaohs' clubhouse was located in North Portland at Gustin's Service Station; it was a place to gather and work on cars. record holder in the D-Stock at 71 MPH in his 1939 Ford Deluxe.
