After our three hour tour of the Vatican museums and the Sistine Chapel, we taxied to a little mom and pop, hole in the wall trattoria “Hosteria Vino e Tony”. We arrived early and were the only ones, but within 10 minutes this place was packed. The food was superior, the personal attentive service was over the top and overall it was just the best eating experience we’ve had so far! This photo is the house specialty of gnocchi à la Romana. Tony, one of the co-owners and chef, came to our table and told us what his specials were. But one dish that was so incredible was of six little sweet cheese/cream that was perfectly breaded and fried. My husband just raved about them. So I asked them. How do you make these and they showed me, in Italian, which is still pretty rough for me, so I’m going to figure it out when I get back to the states and post it on the blog. Add a Delicioso!
