I get a lot of questions of how to tell the difference between Buckeyes whether they're pullets or cockrels. This picture is a great example. The pullet is on the left. The cockerel is on the right. These two are 3 months old. The biggest distinguishing difference besides the color of the comb is behind the eyes you can see the male has a larger double red earlobe and more black feathering than a female. Also, if you look closely, you'll see pin feathers at this age as they're starting to develop their saddle feathers.

Buckeye Rooster is available, he is just under two and looking for a new flock. He is very sweet and has been with six hens or less. He does well in a run or free range.
The grow outs have outgrown the chicken tractors so they now have a 20' covered run with access to a large yard. The Buckeyes and Salmon Faverolle have figured out how to access the outside the others are still working on it. I have Black Australorp, Black Star, Barred Rock, and Easter Egger pullets available. Buckeye roosters are available. Salmon Faverolle pullets are NOT for sale.
