Butterflies instinctively know when it’s time to rest. During storms, they find a safe place and wait, protecting their delicate wings from harm. It struck me that maybe we should learn from them. Life’s storms can be relentless, and yet we push ourselves to keep going, often ignoring the need to pause and protect our own “wings.”
Resting isn’t weakness; it’s wisdom. It’s knowing that sometimes the best thing you can do is step back, gather your strength, and trust that you’ll soar again when the skies clear.
If you’re in the midst of a storm right now, I hope this serves as a gentle reminder: It’s okay to take a breath. It’s okay to find shelter. You’re not giving up - you’re healing.
And when the rain stops? You’ll spread those wings and fly again, stronger than before. Let’s all give ourselves the grace to pause when we need it 🩷
