Announcement time!!!

Some major changes have been happening at CPX Reptiles, in 2023 Mark Prieto and myself Joshua Carson both took a few steps back from breeding and we were slowing the business down, until Logan Barrett of M95 genetics threw some motivation our way. So over these past couple of years with a WHOLE LOT of planning and rearranging of the business and building a new breeding building we are excited to announce that we have absorbed M95 Genetics into CPX Reptiles. So we would like to officially welcome Logan Barrett as a business partner to CPX Reptiles! Logan brings good tokay experience and great enthusiasm to the business. Him and His wife took a leap of faith and moved out from Colorado to Georgia to join the CPX family and we couldn’t be happier to have them! Please be patient with us as we switch over our social media accounts, this page will stay the same but m95 on instagram will turn into the new cpx instagram page.

Hey guys! I know it's been a while since I've posted but I've been really busy with a big move! I wanted to share a little sneak peak of the first reaults for project Plutonium!👀 unfortunately due to the move the hatchling didn't make it. I was really hoping the little one could thrive but it just hatched too prematurely 😕that was a tough loss to see. Om a positive note Im pairing mom and dad back up this week to hopefully produce more, and im throwing another pair together to maybe get this project proven out this season as well. Stay tuned my friends😎

The time is near, big things coming. Years of planning finally falling into place. Announcement coming around June, stay tuned!

A little peak at my paradox boy Zangetsu👀 he has fathered 6 eggs with my diablo female and the first set is due to hatch very soon! Stay tuned for the results of the pairing! Waiting for them to hatch is getting painful 🤣

I would like to introduce you guys to the worlds first reduced pattern 100% het diablo tokay gecko. Just a heads up this will be a long read😅 I've been waiting to post this girl untill she grew out enough to be able to tell what she is. You may be wondering how do I know this girl is a reduced pattern het diablo? Here is how I came to the conclusion that she is. Starting at the very beginning of this long term project when proving out diablo I did it by first breeding my wild caught diablo to a normal. All of the babies that hatched from that first pairing were all visually normal 100% het for diablo. None of those hatchlings showed any different types of color or pattern. I then grew out one of those females to pair back to my male diablo and produced visual diablos with that pairing. That breeding then proved diablo as a simple recessive trait. At the same time while proving out diablo I paired my captive bred reduced pattern female to a normal male. The pairing produced roughly 50% visual reduced pattern hatchlings proving that the line of reduced im working with is indeed a dominant trait as expected. Now that I had both traits proven out I did my first reduced pattern x diablo pairing to produce the girl you see above. There are 3 reasons why I have come to the conclusion that she is a reduced pattern het diablo. Number one is her green base color. Out of the 20 het diablos I have now produced all of them have normal blue base color and she is the only one that has turned out green. The second reason is her orange pattern. Het diablos all have nice bold blotches of red orange pattern, and this girls orange has been reduced to almost speckles instead. Lastly is her belly pattern. Het diablos have full orange pattern all over the belly and this female has a patternless belly just like a reduced. She also has a small blotch of diablo colored base color on her chest. You may be also wondering why did she turn out so strange looking for a reduced pattern? Well I can say with confidence that there looks to be an allelic interaction between diablo and reduced pattern causing some strange things to happen with the reduced. This wouldnt be the first example of this either. As you may know CPX Reptiles recently produced the specter morph an allelic gene combo(reduced pattern 100% het candy dot) and produced reduced patterns with wild paradoxing all over. Its very interesting to see that we may uncover multiple allelic relationships of traits and im excited to see what we find out! Lastly if you are wondering why I went through all of the trouble to line breed my genetics with normals its for a very specific reason. Without determining gene order before crossing traits you can potentially leave out half of the information thats needed to determine genetically what you are producing. Especially when breeding wild caught morphs. For example if I started project antimatter by pairing the reduced to the diablo and got this baby without knowing the gene order it would lead you to believe that both traits are dominant when in fact only one of them is. This is why I line breed every gene im working with to normals first before crossing any genes. Its so important to do all of the work in the beginning so other people who want to reproduce your results can do so accurately and predictably. This process is why I can guarantee my genetics or your money back😉 This girl is actually ready to be paired this season so hopefully we can hit the world's first antimatter tokay gecko early 2026! The first three pictures are the reduced pattern het diablo and the second two photos are comparing reduced pattern het diablo to normal het diablo. My plan going forward with more complex pairings is to be as transparent and descriptive with my genetics as possible in hopes to provide as much valuable and accurate information as I am able to! If you read all of this you are awesome and I appreciate you diving into some genetics with me😁

Just wanted to show off my new diablo boy thanks to ! His name is going to be Teth-adam 😎 he will be a great addition to my diablo bloodlines! I have him paired up to my reduced pattern het diablo female so hopefully this boy can get the job done and produce us a worlds first! Thanks again for this awesome boy Jimmy!

Our paradox x diablo pairing is going strong💪 im very excited to see these hatchlings. In other two gene projects that I've seen started double hets can sometimes show visual het traits. A good example of this is candy dot x reduced pattern. The reduced pattern offspring show small patches of paradoxing because of the candy het. My reduced pattern het diablo also seems to have small paradox patches as well. Im curious to see if this will be the case for diablo x paradox offspring. Now I just have to stay sane until the eggs hatch...

Some pretty exciting production going here at M95! The start of what I hope will be a gorgeous two gene tokay. (Paradox x Diablo). Hopefully we can produce a male and a female🙏🙏🙏

Once again a late tokay tuesday for me🤣 This is Majin Buu the first CB Diablo that I produced. She was also the first CB Diablo in the United States! She was out and about the other week and I was able to get a shot of her fired all the way up. She definitely doesn't disappoint! If you are wondering who my favorite gecko in the collection is I would have to say she is. She will be in the collection forever❤️🦎
