Christian Partners For Aselsi

OK, Aselsi Partners it has been awhile.
I was asked by the church last month to lead a mission to Antigua, Guatemala to build a bathroom for a police station. There where 18 of us going. News came today that the police station lost its lease!!!!
So, we are headed to ASELSI!!!!!
We will arrive April 26th and return May 2nd.
This is a construction mission!

I want to thank God for his awesome power in making this change and sending us to Aselsi.

Well, our first fund raiser did not turn out so well. We have sold the glow in the dark necklaces before at Southlake Town Square during an event before and made between $1,200-$1,850 for the 2 days but this time a realtor was giving them away for free so every child already had 3 of them.
We will not let this discourage us and we will get this momentum going!
We will meet soon and go over the next fund raiser.

Hey Partners, My wife and I (James and Marina ) met with Rusty , Merideth and Felicia on Sunday. We are having our first fund raiser on April 26 and 27. We will be selling glow in the dark necklaces at the Art festival in Southlake Town Square. If you are interested in helping out we need 9 people (3 teams of three) I will get a permit ($35) and we will need 2 more. Please contact me if you are interested. Family Trip to Chichi, We had a amazing time!

Hey Partners, as Felicia posted last week we will be meeting next week at my home on Sunday at 12:30. I live in Grapevine just a mile down Kimball from the Gateway Southlake Campus.
Hope to see everyone there and we will share from the last mission and discuss the future fund raising plans!

I just did a missions trip with this guy name Chagy the Clown. He blessed all the kids on the trip & then did a show for us adults. IT WAS HILARIOUS AND MOVING!! Please check him out Chagy.com (I was never into clowns until now)

Just returned from Aselsi after an amazing family mission! More details to come! This is Dana and Jessica with my dear friend "Anna" My son and I gave her a big basket of food that cost $9 (the cost of 1 movie ticket) and will feed her for a week. She was so happy she cried and hugged us over and over!

Just arrived in Guatemala, wow. traveling with 60 is a lot harder than traveling with 12.
Please pray for our trip, for safety and that God will do a great work in call of us and all we come in contact with!!!

Guess What's in the Jar....According to one medical book its "a troublesome pouch attached to the first portion of the large intestine". According to Sebastian Xen its his appendix and it needed to come out Tuesday night. From what I've read the appendix is basically "useless" to the human body but Sebastian is very "useful" to ASELSI both with teams and maintenance. Please pray for him and a speedy recovery. As you can see he's feeling better, nevertheless, it was a "jarring" experience

Hey partners! With the Alha Summit next week and then heading to Aselsi next week many of us can not make the meeting Sunday so we are going to reschedule till after we return from ChiChi!
We have 100 new DVD's of Aselsi. Thanks to Mike and Laura Oakley for burning them for me. These are 2 different professionaly done DVD's done by Ron Widbin of Aselsi.

Ordering 5,000 glow in the dark necklaces to sell at festivals. We get them for 5.5 cents apiece and sell them for dollar. If any one once some please let us know. We will go over the details next Sunday at the meeting!
