🧮 Before calculators, tax software, and spreadsheets… there was Benjamin Banneker — a self-taught Black mathematician in the 1700s.

🗺️ He helped survey and map Washington, D.C.

🙌🏾 Yes… the same city where the IRS, Treasury, and federal money systems live today.

✅ While they were questioning our intelligence,
we were helping build the blueprint.

📢 IRS PATH Act — Refund Delay Info for 2026 Tax Season 💸🗓️

It’s that time again — TAX SEASON! 🙌🏽

If you’re claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) on your 2025 tax return, here’s what you need to know about your refund timeline 👇

💎 Why is my refund delayed?
-Because of the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS can’t issue any refund — including the whole refund — before mid-February if you claimed EITC or ACTC. This law helps the IRS fight fraud and verify income info before refunds go out. 

💎 When can refunds start arriving?
-The IRS expects most refunds for EITC/ACTC filers to be available by March 2-3, 2026 if you e-file and use direct deposit. 

💎 What tracks refund status?
-Use the IRS Where’s My Refund? tool or the IRS2Go app to see your personalized refund date — usually updated daily once your return is accepted.
