Big Fat Cakes is taking a hiatus of indeterminate length due to my shoulder injury. I'm also taking a rest from pole as I get some physical therapy.

Not sure how to get the word out to the cake loving public about the hiatus, but I'm turning down orders every now and then.

This cake was an effort between artists! My amazing customer is a scientist and photographer who loves plankton. She created the images for the icing sheets and provided an image for the microscope. My daughter Daphne copied out the image to scale by hand.

I'm not sure who made the eyeballs...

I came across a new chocolate cake recipe and I want to try it out. It's simply chocolate cake with a type of buttercream made with egg yolks (basically pudding with NO Confectioners sugar!)

It'll be a 3 layer, 8 inch round cake, and I can sell it for ingredient cost. (Will calculate today)
