This week’s Sailor Spotlight is the lovely 💘 Shes a proud member of MC ‘22 and never ceases to amaze us all with her positive energy and talent!!!

“Hey y’all, I’m Avery Lindsey! I’m a first year from Austin, Texas, and I’m studying Applied math and English. Since I’ve been at UCSB, I’ve been stoked to be a part of DG and , where I’ve met some of my favorite people in the whole wide world. My bandmates and I formed Big Hungry at the beginning of the year, and we’ve recently been playing gigs in the IV/SB area. We’ll be in the studio soon to start recording originals, so check us out on Spotify in a couple weeks! I love live music and sharing that creativity with others, and I’ve felt nothing but support and encouragement from dg. When I’m not playing the bass with Big Hungry, I love to read, write, and get outside with my dg buddies. Thank you dg for showing up for the band. Y’all are the best! I love you guys!”

Meet this week’s sailor spotlight .kellicut ☘️ We are so lucky to have her as our Director of Green for this year!!

“Hi! My name is Morgan and I am a second year Delta Gamma. I am fortunate enough to currently hold the position of Director of Green. This position is near & dear to me and I hope to bring more awareness to taking care of our planet. Being raised in Hawaii and in a community that highlights the importance of our land and seas, I am passionate about caring for our environment. In high school, I worked with various organizations such as Surfrider and NOAA to organize beach cleanups and teach others about preserving our land and seas. As the new Director of Green, I aspire to take the lead in my chapter and share my values of how important the ocean and environment is to each and every one of us and why we all need to do our part in making our world a better place”

This week’s Senior Spotlight is the one and only 💘 Elizabeth has been making DG proud since day one and we cannot wait to see what amazing things life has in store for her!!

“Hi everyone!! I’m Elizabeth and I’m at fourth year Psychology & Brain Sciences major. This past year I was lucky enough to serve as VP Membership alongside my best friends. Not only did my position allow me to reflect on my own membership, it gave me the opportunity to grow closer to all member classes! Continuing the legacy of UCSB DG with my best friend has been one of the most rewarding experiences that I will cherish for years. I am forever grateful for everything I have learned while being in DG and the lifelong friendships I have made.

As I wrap up my senior year, I am spending time making memories with my friends and working!! I am so thankful for everything UCSB has given me, and I will miss our beachside paradise!💛”

I am so excited to announce our 2023 president Jess Reilly! We are so lucky to have such a strong woman to lead us into this new year, you have already done so much for this chapter and I can’t wait to see what else you have in store!!
