You will be responsible for sending out and bringing in rental boats, gassing boats, etc. applicants need to be able to work through October when the season closes. Applicants need to be self motivated, observant, have pride in their job as well as their workplace, and have attention to detail. GREAT PEOPLE SKILLS ARE A MUST. Please apply in person.

Happy New Year Lake Glenville boaters! As we start to approach another season we are looking to start getting staff lined up for the 2021 season. We need dock, front desk and ice cream staff. We are trying to get employees ready ahead of time, but the job won't start until April or May depending on the weather and Covid restrictions. The new 12,000 gallon gas tank is set! Being the only marina on the lake, we have a high demand for gas, and now we can keep up! Can’t wait for next summer!

Big things Coming.... We may have closed early this year but we’ve already started improvements to make next year even better! 12,000 Gallon Gas tank pad is in, Material and floats are here for the dock remodel. Stay tuned for more updates and see you in the Spring!

2020 Season Closing Info

This year we will be closing boat rentals for the season at the end of September instead of the end of October.

This early closing allows us to address much needed additions and changes to the property, including, but not limited to:

1. Refloating, and reconfiguring the boat dock.

2. Installation of a brand new 12,000 gallon gas tank and system, to allow us to better serve the growing number of boats on the lake.

3. Rental boat maintenance and repairs.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make these much needed improvements to better serve you all.

We have boiled peanuts! 🥜 Gary from Just Peanuts and Produce that used to be outside our marina has brought us up some to sell to all his customers missing out since he moved to South Carolina. So come and get some before they are gone! We have a limited amount but with enough interest he may bring them up more often, so let’s show him some love!!

Lake clean up day!

Our flag will always fly at half mast on June 1st. Remembering a great man lost way too soon. We all love and miss you.

The time has come! If you have the time and a boat, please get out on the water next Saturday, the 6th, and help clean this lake up! There is so much debris and so many loose dock floats, so as many hands are needed as possible! Let's all do our part to keep this lake the pristine gem we all love. We hope to see you out there!

There have been several posts made today about an accidental spill of diesel on our property from a disgruntled ex-employee. Since the person is saying MANY lies we wanted to set the record straight.

We did have a small spill, NOT 30 gallons.

We did what we are supposed to do and used cleaner on it to break it up and cause it to coagulate.

The pictures posted show stuff in the water, this is what it looks like after the cleaner broke it down, the white/pink foamy stuff is the cleaner mixed with the diesel.

If it was just diesel it would only be a rainbow looking sheen.

The entirety of the small amount that made it to the water has been cleaned up, on the same day.

This happened on Monday and he is only now saying something because he's mad about getting fired.

We love and respect this lake completely. We would NEVER do anything to hurt or compromise it, it's our livelihood.

If anyone has any questions, please contact us before helping him spread these vicious lies. We are 100% transparent.

A great man was lost while doing what he spent his whole life doing, being a selfless hero. He will be greatly missed by our entire community and beyond. We are sending out love and prayers to his family, friends, coworkers, and anyone whose life he touched. 💔

As many of you have heard but now, we lost one of our own today. It was a tragic accident in the line of duty. He was the most caring and compassionate person you could ever meet. We appreciate all of the thoughts and prayers. Please continue to keep both his blood family and Squad/EMS family in your prayers.

He will be greatly missed.

It’s hard to find something that beats a Lake Glenville sunset 🌅😍⛰

In our opinion there is nothing more peaceful than calm evenings on this serene lake. But we might be a little biased 🤷🏼‍♀️😍⛰

🗣PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT 🗣

We have a had a bunch of very strange questions lately regarding the lake, so we thought we’d help clear a few things up.

1.) A captain’s license is REQUIRED if you are chartering or doing tours with paying passengers on a boat. This also includes fishing guides. This is from the US Coast Guard.

2.) There is not a $1,000 fine from NC Wildlife or Duke Energy or anyone of importance if boaters want to use the PUBLIC islands. *They are circled in orange on the second pic for those who are unsure which islands are public use.

3.) There is also not a $1,000 fine from NC Wildlife or Duke Energy if you get close to the waterfalls to swim and/or climb on the rocks. Just be respectful of private property.

4.) Last but not least, for those who don’t know or have been told differently, there is a place on the lake to get ice, bait, gas, snacks, etc. and that’s right here at Signal Ridge Marina, the only full service marina on Lake Glenville!
