Starting today, the National Su***de Prevention Lifeline (1-800-273-8255) will start using the 9-8-8 dialing code for anyone experiencing mental health-related distress – whether that is thoughts of su***de, mental health or substance use crisis, or any other kind of emotional distress. Both lines will be active for those in need.
