After a year of writing, rewriting, and rewriting again, with GREAT excitement, I just submitted LAST RESORT, my eighth mystery novel, for publication. Now, on to the cover design. If all goes well, the book should be available in a few months. I'll keep you posted as the process continues. My next novel-related post will be the cover. Can't wait to see how that turns out. Two years after returning home to California, still haunted by memories of the Perigord, Ellie gives up teaching and enrolls in McGill University to study archeology. Completing three years of study, she eagerly returns to the area that captured her imagine, this time to complete her doctoral dissertation under the guidance of Jean Oresme, an expert on Medieval life in the region.

Several months after her arrival, Ellie’s research is interrupted by the sudden arrival of Richard Norwood, a retired American businessman who, for no reason she and Jean can discern, offers to sponsor his work.
