Unfortunately, the USA is not on the list of "Green" countries to travel to the Philippines. This means traveling to the Philippines from the USA will still undergo 14-day quarantine.

Starting July 1, 2021, travelers who are fully vaccinated in the Philippines regardless of travel history, and those vaccinated abroad who stayed exclusively in “Green” countries/jurisdictions in the past fourteen days immediately preceding arrival must only undergo a 7-day quarantine, and an RT-PCR test administered on the 5th day of their quarantine stay. Fully-vaccinated travelers must carry sufficient proof of their vaccination during their travel. Passengers are considered fully-vaccinated at least 14 days after having received the second dose in a 2-dose series or at least 14 days after having received a single-dose vaccine.

Fully vaccinated individuals shall carry the following as proof of their vaccination status:

(i.) Those fully vaccinated in the Philippines must carry their vaccination card which should be verified prior to their departure by a certification issued through the Certificate of Vaccination Record Portal of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (Travelers who wish to secure a certificate from the DICT may follow the instructions on Advisory No. 55 of the National COVID-19 Vaccination Operations Center.) or the City Health Officer of the local government unit which administered the full vaccination; or

(ii.) Those fully vaccinated in countries/jurisdictions outside the Philippines must carry their official documentation of full vaccination validated through the Philippine Overseas Labor Offices (POLO), or present their International Certificate of Vaccination, whichever is Applicable.

(iii.) The aforementioned documents must be presented to the dedicated Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) representative for re-verification at the Department of Transportation One-Stop-Shop (OSS) upon arrival in the Philippines

Are children required to take the swab test upon arrival in the Philippines?

Children,including infants, are required to undergo the RT-PCR Test. They must also complete the registration process and pay a separate testing fee. For minimized discomfort, infants will be swabbed through the mouth.

Can families traveling together stay in the same room/hotel?

In compliance with Philippine regulations, only one person is allowed per room, except for the following:

Families with minor children below 18 years old (if the traveling family has two or more adult members, only one adult can stay with the minor children)
A Person With Disability (PWD) and his/her companion (only one adult companion is allowed)
Travelers with medical emergencies
A waiver for special cases is available upon arrival for other exemptions not stated above.

Why should I take the swab test upon my arrival in the Philippines?

Taking a COVID-19 RT-PCR Test is a requirement of the Philippine government for all arriving international passengers. Passengers shall be tested on the seventh (7th) day of their 14-day quarantine stay, 10 of which shall be observed at an accredited quarantine hotel/facility, and the remaining days for home quarantine under the supervision of the Local Government Unit of their residence. Day one (1) starts on the day of the passenger’s arrival.

I am already vaccinated, do I still need to undergo testing and quarantine?

Fully-vaccinated passengers are now exempted from the RT-PCR Test requirements, and will only undergo a 7-day quarantine at an accredited quarantine hotel or facility instead of 14 days.

Please note that this is only applicable for travelers who have been fully-vaccinated in the Philippines by accredited local vaccine administrators and Local Government Units.

Filipino Nationals and non-Filipinos who received their vaccination outside the Philippines are not eligible for the exemption and reduced mandatory quarantine. (Passengers are considered fully-vaccinated at least 14 days after having received the second dose in a 2-dose series, or at least 14 days after having received a single-dose vaccine.)
