Genre: spicy romance ⭐⭐⭐
Polyamory, some questionable themes (big age difference) and borderline aggressive fantasies, S*M
She falls in love with a future president. The s**t was a lot, enjoyed the political danger with another country would like that elaborated more on. Given who our current present is hard to imagine a president as sexy 🀨. (Also some weird in**st thing). If you're into these things go for it.

A page turner for sure.
A Mom goes back to her hometown because her daughter was given a scholarship at her old college where she swore she would never return only to encounter more trouble and mystery. She and her baby daddy must find a way to protect their adult daughter.

Suspense thriller/mystery
I can't decide if this is my favorite Karin Slaughter book or if False Witness is.
Kept me turning the page and staying up late. Character development spot on.
Adult sisters discover what happened to their kid sister when she went missing. One of their husbands is murdered and she discovers he's not who they thought he was. There is police corruption (which is a common theme in most of Slaughter's books) but also political corruption as well. It definitely has all the trigger warnings including SA, death, descriptions of both and abuse.

I love this biography perspective. A local to my hometown. I was sad to see the abuse this woman went through. She was tough. She proved that humans are resilient and capable of anything. Definitely an inspiration.

5 stars
genre: thriller

so so good, Karin Slaughter is such a favorite of mine

A young female cop is solving the murder of two teenage girls in a small town, the killer isn't who you think it is.

TW: this book explores themes of alcoholism, death of children, SA, and psychopaths, morbid descriptions of abuse and dead bodies
