However, we have seen signs that the staffing challenges have turned a corner. https://buff.ly/3HBGjHC

How to make universal afterschool a reality in your state 01/20/2022

It's refreshing to see states such as Vermont commit to making universal after-school a reality. The legislature and the governor’s offices will be working together over the next two years for full implementation in 2024. Proposals are also being considered in New York City and Richmond, Virginia. What will it take?!
1) State/city-wide commitment
2) Sustainable funding
3) Deep collaboration across all stakeholders
4) Central coordination
5) Systems to measure program quality and collect and analyze data

7 Questions to Ask Your District Leader About Where ARP Funds Are Going - The Education Trust 09/30/2021

A key priority of Kiddo is helping to close the education equity gap. Our ability to make a meaningful impact extends from building scalable technology to supporting our local, state, and national parent organizations (National Parent Teacher Association) and non-profits such as the Greater Washington Community Foundation, Black and Brown Coalition for Educational Equity and Excellence, Afterschool Alliance, EdTrust, and The Wallace Foundation, around their advocacy efforts with our school systems and government. There are several key questions that all families should ask their school district regarding the American Rescue Plan funds ($100B+ in total) received by the school system.

2020 America After 3PM 08/26/2021

It's encouraging that after-school STEM learning is on the rise, but the opportunity gap is still massive.
