Is Your Name in the Book of Life? If Not, You May Be on the Path to the Lake of Fire! Have you ever thought about this question? On that day, when you stand before God and discover that your name is not in the book of life, what will happen? The Bible tells us, “And whoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire “ (Revelation 20:15). That place is one of eternal suffering, the most terrifying torment for the soul. No one wants to end up there, right? So, how can you ensure that your name is recorded in the book of life and that you will enter heaven instead of hell? Many brothers and sisters may think that simply accepting the name of the Lord Jesus and attending church is enough for their names to be in the book of life. However, Revelation tells us, “And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defiles,...: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life “ (Revelation 21:27). This means that only those whose hearts are cleansed, who no longer sin, and who truly follow God’s will can have their names in the book of life. Believing in the Lord does not mean we won’t make mistakes. Even after receiving forgiveness, we will still face temptations and weaknesses. The Lord Jesus reminds us, “However, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth “ (John 16:13). The purpose of the Lord’s return is to bring final judgment and to cleanse our souls through His word. Only by going through this process can one have their name written in the book of life and become a citizen of God’s kingdom. Do you want your name recorded in the book of life?
