While Twilight Tails was formed to help seniors, we cannot turn our backs when a younger dog needs help!

Angus has arrived and we have all taken notice!!!

Angus was surrendered to us from a family who could no longer care for him- This stunning English Sheepdog has grown from the adorable little fluff ball he was when they got him ay 8 weeks old, to a 60 pound and growing goofy and stunning dog.

Angus is about a year old. He will get neutered on 6/15 and will be available shortly thereafter. He is already UTD on all his shots.

Angus was an indoor dog (and must stay one) He loves a soft couch and a stuffie and a good meal in the complany of his people. He is an active, social dog who needs a bit of training on the leash and in how he greets you (jumps with enthusiasm)

He does not have an aggressive bone in his body and truly loves everyone ;canine and human- Not tested with cats.

He is playful, affectionate and looking to please his person. Terrific family dog- Great if other dogs in the home- but not required- Apply only if you have time to work with him on his puppy behavior and are ready for a lifetime of love and kisses

Say hello to Prince- Prince is a 2-3 year old lhasa apso/shizhu mix-

He was surrendered as his family could no longer care for him. He is all vetted and ready for his forever home

He is great on a leash and gets along with dogs of all sizes. He is a lover of all people and is happy just sitting in your lap and watching the world go by. His energy level is low medium- as he does get the occasional zoomies.

He is a huge fan of toys, particularly stuffies- He is not destructive and simply carries his stuffie with him around the house,

This was a well-loved dog and will be a great addition to any family- No tiny tots please- but children over 6 will love to snuggle with him

Meet the sweet puppies we rescued after they were abandoned and left to fend for themselves in a pasture.
At around 16 weeks old, they are full of love and quickly learning to trust humans again. These playful, energetic puppies have a huge heart and a strong desire to become a cherished member of a forever family. They are already showing they belong right there on your lap — just give them a moment and you’ll be rewarded with the deepest, most contented sigh of relief and safety.
They come running at full speed for toys or treats (it’s a thunderous heard of littles), and nothing gets in the way of playtime! They have access to the yard and are already doing their business in the yard. They are also very gentle and share food and toys with no issues. Despite their fears not one of them has ever offered even a nip or growl when being picked up or bathed.
If you’re ready to open your home and heart to a loving, grateful puppy who just wants to be yours here they are just waiting for you!
Applications can be found at the top of the page.
They weigh between 8-13lbs Names can be found under as a comment under their photo

June 14- Camille has been adopted!!

MEET SENIOR GIRLS CAMILLE AND URSULA

These sweet dogs were discovered in Terrell Texas by a woman who stepped in to help them despite limited resources of her own. They were severely matted and heavily infested with ticks. Over several days, she carefully shaved away painful mats and painstakingly removed countless ticks from their fragile bodies.

After veterinary evaluation, we learned these dogs are not the younger dogs we initially believed them to be — they are seniors, estimated to be between 7–10 years old. Both dogs are extremely underweight and emaciated, likely from prolonged neglect. They also require extensive dental work and have several masses that must be surgically removed

They are not yet ready for adoption- but we sure could use our Village to help!!!

Right now, they desperately need:

Foster homes willing to help them recover in a calm, loving environment
Frequent small meals and attentive care to safely restore their weight and strength- so high caloric content dog food
Donations to help cover diagnostics, surgeries, dental care, medications, and ongoing veterinary treatment

If you can foster, donate, or share their story, please reach out today. Every contribution — whether financial support, supplies, or a temporary home — helps give these dogs a real chance at recovery and a future filled with kindness instead of suffering.

All are about a year- 2 years old- fully vetted and heartworm negative

Butterscotch the confection is made with brown sugar and butter.

Butterscotch the puppy is made with 100% fortitude.

From the day he was conceived Butterscotch faced an uphill battle. His mom was found homeless and pregnant in what's considered one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Houston, and just days after being rescued, she delivered an astonishing 14 puppies.

Butterscotch was by far the smallest of the litter, and with so many wee mouths vying for a place to nurse, he was often pushed aside by his bigger, stronger brothers and sisters. But Twilight Tails Rescue fights hardest for the underdog, so they always made sure Butterscotch had his place in line. Tiny in comparison to his siblings, he was closely monitored and weighed every single day until everyone was confident he would not only survive but thrive.

Butterscotch, fittingly, was born on Thanksgiving Day, and we are incredibly grateful for every moment spent in his company. From the moment he opens his beautiful eyes in the morning until he closes them again at night to slumber, Butterscotch's incredible life force, his incredible will to live, radiates a golden light that warms everyone around him. He welcomes and loves all creatures great and small and is the best boy to the very marrow of his bones.

Butterscotch is a 5.5 month old, 40lb, neutered, fully vaccinated, healthy true mixed breed~ perhaps a little shepherd, perhaps a little husky but definitely all things good. He loves all dogs large and small and has never met a stranger- He is fully housebroken and great on a leash/

A soft, floppy-eared, playful, curious, cuddly~ and so very ready to be the beating heart of his new family~ little boy is waiting for a pair of loving arms to embrace and carry him home.

June 8- Rufus was returned He was to active for their small kids-

Meet RUFUS He is 1-2 years old and was found as stray- He was one big mop, leading us to believe he has been on the street for a while

He is neutered, heartworm negtive and UTD on his vaccines-

He weighs about 17 pounds and we think he is a maltipoo.

He LOVES to play with other dogs and still has lot of puppy energy- He is crate trained and doing really well with leash and potty training

He is a smart little guy- curious and engaging- His best new home would be a family with or without other dogs- Prefer no wee kiddos as he is still learning proper manners

He is VERY affectionate- comes when called- and is a joyful happy pup

Say hello to magestic Maddox.

Maddox is a 5-6 year old stunning Great Pyrenees mix. He is the definition of gentle giant. He weighs about 80 pounds and is as light as a feather on his feet.

Maddox was surrendered by an older gal who had more dogs than she could manage. He was on a rural property that was in major disrepair- left outside in the Texas heat all day and all night.

He is terrific with other dogs- Affectionate, playful, not aggressive and always ready for a lovely walk. He is crate trained (SUPER LARGE CRATE NEEDED), and does well on the leash- no pull at all.

He will make a great family dog or a loyal companion for a single owner. We would like fenced yard for Maddox- He will thrive in a family with dogs, but would be fine as an only as well.

He is located in Houston and is available for transport once his heartworm treatment is completed.

5-1 adopted

Ok- I know I need a trip to the salon- Any offers?

I am Rocco - I suppose I am a Maltest mix- but someone a bit bigger got in on the action- cause I weigh about 16 poubds.

I am one of the most affectionate guys you will ever meet. I would follow my foster mom from room to room in the house if she would let me. I do just fine with other dogs (and there are a bunch here), but hangin with my human is my favorite activity.

I am about 2-3 years old and someone did all the heavy lifting before I was found on the street. - I am housebroken and leash trained. There are dogs beds everwhere here- but my choice is my foster mom's bed- I quietly sleep all through the night and am ready to play again in the morning.

I am not a fan of crates- just a heads up- but why put me in one- I'm just fine on my own- even if no one is home

I am fully vetted and heartworm negative. I am ready for my forever home in Texas, or on transport to just about anywhere- Get ready for puppy ksses if I'm your guy!!!
