Here are key points to consider regarding egg (or embryo) and s***m freezing: Why Preserve Fertility? Hormone therapy can significantly impact fertility. For those who may wish (or uncertain) to have biological children in the future, freezing eggs or s***m before starting hormone is a proactive step. This ensures fertility options down the line. Egg Freezing: Ovarian Stimulation: This involves taking hormones to stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple eggs. Egg Retrieval: Once the eggs are mature, a minor outpatient procedure is performed to retrieve them. Freezing: The retrieved eggs are then cryopreserved for future use, can stay safe for a very long period of time. S***m Freezing: Collection: This typically involves providing a semen sample through ma********on. Analysis and Freezing: The sample is analyzed for quality and then frozen for later use. Timing I strongly advise to start this process before beginning hormone therapy. This can help maximize the chances of successful retrieval and preservation of healthy eggs/s***ms.
