In 2023 FSJ. Woodworks will start taking appointments with anyone who has ideas they want to bring to life in their homes or office. Between renovations on our home and sneaking in side projects here and there when I can squeeze it in my work schedule, it brings me joy to see my clients happy receiving their one of one pieces.

The process is long and sometimes challenging but in the end rewarding. Truly grateful for the journey in making this chessboard for .

The final phase of our home renovation is finally done. After much laboring I finally brought our new dining table home.

This couldn’t be possible without the guys for lending a hand in making this dream of making this for my family a reality.

We bought the house we currently live in from my in laws last January. It’s been a roller coaster ride the past month doing renovations to get the house ready to receive our family and friends to break bread, sit around our cozy home and make new memories. Tearing down walls and finding so many mistakes in the construction. Fixing them reminds me of how if WE allow Jesus in our hearts he can fix those areas that are broken.

I wrote this verse on one of the 2” x 4” studs holding a beam as a reminder that none of this would have ever been possible without Jesus. Our faith in Him carries our home through easy and difficult times. It’s a reminder that this house will always stand on that truth the rock of our salvation Jesus Christ.

I’ve made these chess boards before but this one was different. It challenged me. I made so many mistakes during this build I wanted to quit making it.

I finally finished it for me it’s not perfect because I’m seriously that kind of guy I strive for things to be perfect. One thing I learned is grace, to be graceful with myself step back, regroup and get back at it.

I procrastinated because the outcome wasn’t what I wanted but only I would know what’s wrong with it no one else sees what we as makers see where we messed up and could have done things better.
