I would love to thank the staff of Swank for EVERYTHING they did for my family and I for my son's Bar Mitzvah this past Saturday morning.

Not only did they come in early to prepare us for our day, they had a huge surprise for us when we arrived (you need to see for yourselves when you book your party with SWANK)! An unbelievable surprise and THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!!!

Michelle Longo (the owner) made us feel as if we were her own family and movie stars. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and that everything was perfect (and going to be perfect because my nerves were through the roof).

Her team of artists who worked on us were:

Hair: Aubrey and Tina (magic makers with Long and Short Hair). Artists!!! You tell them what you want, and they make it even better...and it lasted for hours and hours and hours (and the best part was that it was not difficult to "un-do" when we were ready to "Un-do").

Make-Up: Emily who surprised me. I knew she was amazing as a colorist and at cutting hair, but what she did with make-up blew my mind...and everyone's mind! She is talented beyond anything!!!

Thank you SWANK for helping make my dream come true!!!

Our Story

My name is Michelle Longo and I am the founder of Swank Salon. I’m 49 years old and I have three kids: Ralph 23, Frankie 21, and Gianna 12. I’ve been married to a wonderful, loving, supportive husband for twenty five years!

Since I was 18 years old, my dream has always been to open a salon. But, as we all know, life happens.

I had to leave the work force when my son was diagnosed with Autism and I immediately became his advocate. I then went on to advocate for other families because I didn’t want them to feel lost -as I had.

Through the years, I continued to speak at schools and City Hall steps. I’ve even been to Albany to change laws affecting families like mine. I was voted to be on the school board and have won awards for helping others.
