Some photos taken along the Englishtown to Jamesburg portion of the Freehold & Jamesburg line. As can be seen the track is in good condition as the line is served by local freight trains out of Brown's Yard twice a week... Just imagine a steam locomotive chugging through the beautiful Monmouth County scenery!

True,.. The diesel Santa train brings in quite a crowd! However,... Imagine a STEAM powered Santa train sitting in downtown Freehold?! Something tells me Freehold would be quite the destination spot around the Holidays! And I'm sure local businesses would love it! A lot of great restaurants within walking distance of the old Pennsylvania Railroad station!

This is not going to be easy as she is owned by the Gov. But, the way we look at it nothing is impossible! She'd be the perfect locomotive for the railroad!
