This grant brings French language learning to life through music. Two francophone guest musicians will visit to teach students traditional and modern French songs using harmonicas, while also exploring how music connects across languages. The grant will fund class sets of harmonicas and support for a guest musician, expanding a highly engaging, culturally immersive experience for students.

Congratulations to Michelle Bungart at Disney Elementary, winner of a $640 Mini Grant!
This grant supports the “Pet Shop”-themed classroom by bringing live animal experiences directly to students. Through programs from local nature centers, students will engage in hands-on learning about animals and the environment. This opportunity is especially meaningful for special education students who may not otherwise have access to field trips.

🎉 Congratulations to the 2022-23 grant winners!
The FEF members surprised Ms. Amy Laidlaw at Eisenhower Elementary School with a big check for $582.35 to purchase the Kimochis Tool Kit to teach her Young 5s students how to recognize and manage their emotions, demonstrate caring and concern for others, establish personal relationships, make responsible decisions and handle challenging situations constructively.
