We are adopting!!! It truly "takes a village" and we would love your help and support as we embark on this new adventure. What led us to adopt?
For starters, Tim was adopted at about 16 months old. His parents had already adopted his older brother about a year earlier so it was a big part of his life from early on! In his mid-thirties Tim learned that he was unable to have children and when we started dating, Tim was very forward about not being able to have children. While we grew as a couple, Tara asked that Tim keep an open mind about
alternative ways of having a family. The beauty is that we truly believe God had us for each other. About a year after we were married, Tara started to have several health problems leading to a diagnosis of some autoimmune issues. While not impossible, these health issues would make pregnancy high risk for Tara and a child. I (Tara) believe that God knew that to carry the burden alone of not being able to physically have children would have broken my heart. God knew what He was doing when He placed Tim and I together. We have so much fun and love between us that it only seems natural to share this with a child! We also believe that God has called us as Christians to care for widows, orphans, and each other. We want to grow our family and create a home for that chosen person God has for us. We are anticipating our missing piece. Adoption is a very expensive undertaking and we want to be able to go into raising this child without adoption-debt hanging over our heads. Kids are expensive enough!
