🚨 RECALL ALERT! 🚨
If you purchased or exchanged an AmeriGas Propane Exchange grill tank/cylinder in the Southern & Central New Hampshire and Eastern Massachusetts (Boston Metropolitan) area between the dates of July 27, 2023 – August 2, 2023 please check the cylinder collar for the marking: EVAS-M0859.
This recall notice is limited to 490 total AmeriGas Propane Exchange 20lb grill tanks/cylinders that made it into the market prior to identification of the potential defect. If you find yourself to be one of the affected AmeriGas Propane Exchange customers, please accept our sincere apology and return your cylinder to the location where you bought it for a replacement tank.
The potential defect we identified is part of the 20lb propane grill tank/cylinder valve assembly that could result in a leak after disconnection from the grill if you forget to close the propane tank/cylinder valve.
At AmeriGas, safety is a core value. As always, we will continue to put our customers’, our community’s, and our own safety at the heart of everything we do, and every decision we make.
AmeriGas is not the manufacturer of these cylinders, but we are issuing this recall for our customers' safety and peace-of-mind. Please rest assured that all cylinders were thoroughly inspected and confirmed to be leak free multiple times before shipment.
If you purchased barbeque grill tanks/cylinders outside of these locations, on different dates, or without the “EVAS-M0859” stamp, you have no reason to be concerned. They are unaffected.
For more information, please visit https://www.amerigas.com/recall.
If you know someone who may have purchased one of these tanks, please share this information with them. Thank you for helping us get the word out!

It was great to see The Bassquatch Hunter Mike McKinstry and AmeriGas District Manager Steve Stone discussing propane as a clean, eco-friendly fuel during our episode of The Bassquatch Hunter – Fish Out Of Water! The environmental benefits of using propane were obviously very important to both these guys. Did you catch the episode? Let us know what you thought!

Smile and say, “Propane!”
Our team and the great students over at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School in Lake Havasu City, AZ had a great time “gassing” it up at career day together! The elementary school students were given an up-close tour of a bobtail delivery vehicle and learned how propane is used to assist with heating, cooling, cooking, and barbecuing. Better yet, they got to hear about all the work our AmeriGas team does to promote and practice safety.
We had an “A+” great time. Who knows, maybe some of these wonderful students will join us as AmeriGas professionals and propane experts in the future!

Today we spotlight Shawna Turza, an American hero and AmeriGas Delivery Operations Support Manager.
Before applying her logistical expertise to the AmeriGas team, Shawna was honing her skills in service of our country. She served four years in the coast guard, followed by five years in the Navy. During her time as a Petty Officer Second Class assigned to the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, she was part of the first wave of females able to join the front line of combat.
Shawna, we appreciate all your dedication—both to your country and to your AmeriGas crew. You are a true inspiration to us all and we thank you for your service.

Our School Days program is one of our favorite ways to give back to our communities. Once enrolled, schools like Kathryn D. Markley Elementary in Malvern,PA can get donations to use however they need. For KDM, the funds helped support various spring activities like this year’s 5th Grade Celebration, Heritage Celebration and Mindfulness Day. KDM PTO Co-Treasurer David Six (pictured below with his fellow Board members) noted that without the School Days program, these events may not have happened this year. We were happy to help!

It’s Throwback Thursday and today we’re taking you all the way back to 1959—our very first year! This great shot was taken during the unveiling of our name on a propane truck.

AmeriGas was proud to support the Zachary Wallace Fund, an amazing nonprofit founded by parents Don and Natalie Wallace to honor their son who tragically passed away of a rare blood disease just shy of his fourth birthday. This organization provides assistance and support to children with rare diseases and other special needs. They even built an all-accessible playground in Norristown, PA which is wheelchair and walker-friendly! To learn more about their mission, visit: https://zacharywallacefund.com
From John Cieri, AmeriGas Technical Service Advisor:
Like the Wallace Family who lost a young son to a rare blood disease, I also lost my young brother to an illness. It is important to me to remember and honor brave, young children who fought hard to overcome their illnesses, but ultimately lost their lives. AmeriGas’ participation in the St. Patrick’s Day Beef & Beer [fundraiser] will allow the Wallace family to give to special needs children in memory of their son, Zachary. I am coming up on 30 years of being with AmeriGas, there has been many times I have asked AmeriGas to help with the local community and every time AmeriGas has helped I am very proud to be part of the AmeriGas organization in our local community in the Philadelphia area.

We remain forever grateful to all the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

So many of our country’s brave veterans are thriving at AmeriGas locations across the US. We’re proud to provide rewarding career opportunities to heroes like UGI VET member Matt McCarthy, who’s making a big impact as an AmeriGas Assistant Territory Manager in Huntsville, Alabama. Being a Veteran means a great deal to Matt. In fact, he just ran inthe 2023 Team Red, White & Blue Old Glory Relay, where participants carried a single flag from Seattle, WA to Atlanta, GA—a 4,000+ mile trek that took place over 50 days. Matt’s contribution was running an 8-mile uphill route from Manchester to Chattanooga. Congratulations, Matt—thank you for your service and thanks for being part of our team!
