Our Story
Sky Built, LLC is not your average construction company. Family owned and operated, Sky Built was founded on the belief that customers deserve better. Better service, better quality better craftsmanship, better communication, and the ability to trust the integrity of their contractor.
Founders, Steve Young and Aaron Gray, grew up in Colorado. After graduating high school, Steve attended Kansas State University, where he earned a degree in turff grass sciences. Growing up in Gunnison, Steve spent his days working alongside his Dad, and later found employment with a residential construction company. Steve moved back to Colorado after graduating college, where he met his wife Cassidy. Steve and Cassidy became interested in remodeling (fix & flips) and found their first project in Longmont, CO.
It became quickly apparent that the contractors who Steve found to work on the “flip” were not committed to the same level of craftsmen, nor did they possess the same integrity Steve expected, so, he and Cassidy decided to open their own company. Steve later went on to study for and earn his Class C National General Contractor License.
Steve married his wife Cassidy in 2013. They have two kids, Cooper and Brooklyn, and are expecting a third child in July. Sky Built continues to grow and they recently moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, where they are assisting in the opening on a new location.
