That evening I looked at my receipt and noticed I was charged $49.99 for delivery & $363.05 more for the refrigerator than the price online.
The next day when they come to deliver while on the way the guy mentions I need to call and speak to the manager because I was charged for delivery and it should have been free & I mention to him on the phone I planned to because I was also over charged for the refrigerator. When they get here him & Justin were very pleasant and professional he said Mike couldn’t do free delivery because it was outside the area - not what I was told by Cameron, but it wasn’t this guys fault. He also said he spoke with Mike and said if I had mentioned the online price I would have received it. That’s why I went in there and was the first thing I asked!!! I was super unhappy at this point, but again this guy had nothing to do with that.
They begin to bring the appliances in and he asked where the stack kit was for the washer and dryer & I had no idea what he was talking about. Cameron the day before had told me he’d simply put the dryer on top of the washer and he’d be delivering it. He told me what parts I needed and I also purchased them from Elwood’s.
They then find all the parts to install the dryer weren’t sent with them.
They then began to install the dishwasher and it went smoothly.
Then it was time for the refrigerator and they also didn’t have all the parts to set up my water lines for my water dispenser/ice maker.
Upon leaving they said someone would be out Friday to finish.
Friday by lunch time I hadn’t heard anything from Elwood’s so I called and Mike answered and said he didn’t know what time someone would be out but they’d call. I continued to call later in the day, but no answer.
Today at noon I called and Cameron answered and said someone in the company had an accident and was sent to the hospital and they shut the entire company down. I asked what time they’d be out today and he said he’d personally be out around 4pm today as he lives in the same town.
I also asked for a phone call from the owner.
I haven’t heard back from them or seen them yet.
I’ve had a house full of people here the past two days helping us move it’d be great to be able to have ice & water from the refrigerator I came into purchase. I instead bought ice and water - more $
It’d also be great to be able to do laundry had someone explained what I needed to begin with, but I spent extra money to have parts overnighted, but they still haven’t showed up to finish the original install.
Elwood’s had come recommended by many, but they’ve had numerous opportunities to make it right yet here I set with over $3,500 of appliances that aren’t fully functional.
The worst part I can’t get an honest answer from the sales floor or manager...

Make sure if you lose power to unplug your appliance or flip your breaker so that they don't get a power surge when power comes back!! Stay safe out there from the Elwoods Family!!
If the power goes out during a winter storm gather everyone in the most insulated and interior room available.
Turn off and unplug most electronic devices to avoid a power surge. Leave one light on to know when the power has been restored.
