ADVOCATE: 1 John 2;1 One that has crossed the horizons of eternity that is believed will spiritually intercede on behalf of their living loved ones. This term “advocate” did not start with Jesus as it is a Judaic belief, but it has been fulfilled by Jesus. At a Jewish funeral you may hear someone say about the deceased “May he/or she be a Melitz Yosher (spiritual intercessor) for their family.” How comforting it is to know that we are the family of Jesus!? That even in our shortcomings and weaknesses he is interceding on our behalf to Yahweh our Father!
