On Military Spouse Appreciation Day we honor the contributions and sacrifices made by military spouses. Their commitment and support help to keep our country safe. America’s military spouses are the backbone of the families who support our troops during mission, deployment, reintegration and reset. Military spouses are silent heroes who are essential to the strength of the nation, and they serve our country just like their loved ones. We thank all Military spouses, past and present, for their service.

Army Community Service is structured entirely within the framework of the US Army. It is designed to provide a centrally located service that is responsive, convenient, and readily available to assist Soldiers and family members.

Army Community Service (ACS) programs offers real-life solutions for Soldiers and their Families. The objectives of ACS are: 1) To reduce the amount of time Unit Commanders, Soldiers, and dependents expend in seeking assistance on personal or family problems. 2) To improve the morale of the Soldier and his or her family by promptly and efficiently providing assistance in the time of stress. The historical ACS theme/motto, "SELF-HELP, SERVICE, AND STABILITY," projects the focal concepts of Army Community Service. It reflects the Army tradition of caring for its own.

Your ACS equips people with the skills and education they need to face the challenges of military life today and tomorrow. Think of ACS when you're deploying or relocating, needing information and referrals, needing financial assistance, employment services, or for crisis and family assistance.
