You don't need to have the right words for what you're feeling. You don't need to explain it in a way that makes sense yet. You don't need to come in polished, put-together, or sure of anything at all.
Therapy isn't about performing your pain. And you deserve support that can hold the whole of you.
We're currently accepting new clients in Fort Collins, Grand Junction, and Durango — and virtually across all of Colorado. Most major insurance accepted, including Medicaid. Private pay also welcome.

Your strength was always there.
Therapy isn't about dismantling that. It's not about becoming someone you're not or sitting in a room talking about your feelings for the sake of it. It's about taking everything you've already built, the resilience, the discipline, the loyalty, and adding something to it.
What it feels like to actually rest. To stop white-knuckling it. To have relationships where you're present. To think clearly without that low-grade tension humming underneath everything.
The strength was always there. Now learn what healing feels like on top of it.

Self-care isn't always bubble baths and slow mornings (though we love those too).
Sometimes it’s doing the deeper work: showing up, getting honest, and choosing yourself in ways that actually last.
Therapy is that kind of self-care. It's the space where you stop managing your feelings and start understanding them. It's where real change begins, not just feeling better, but actually becoming more yourself.
Therapy can be a space for:
✨ Grieving a season of your life that didn't go the way you hoped
✨ Making peace with a version of yourself you're not proud of
✨ Learning to speak up to those who've hurt you, to systems that have failed you, to the people you love
✨ Finding the courage to leave what no longer serves you — a job, a relationship, a version of yourself
And yes, it absolutely counts as self-care!

One of the most disorienting things about living with anxiety is not knowing whether to trust yourself.
Is this a red flag or am I spiraling? Is this intuition or fear? Is my gut telling me something important or is my nervous system running an old pattern?
For people who have experienced trauma or chronic anxiety, the signals can feel genuinely indistinguishable because both live in the body, and both feel urgent.
Somatic therapy can help you rebuild trust in yourself and show you how to listen to your body with curiosity instead of urgency.
Root & Collective is currently accepting new clients across Colorado. In-person in Fort Collins, Grand Junction, and Durango. Virtual statewide. Most major insurance accepted. Book a free consultation on our website at https://rootandrisecollective.org/

Every hard day you survived made you more capable than you know. But surviving builds scar tissue — and scar tissue, left unattended, can quietly limit how fully you feel, connect, and live.
Your strength is real. But getting through something and actually processing it are two very different things.
Therapy gives your hard days somewhere to land.

You are not someone who needs to be convinced that mental health matters. You're someone who has been doing this work, consciously, intentionally, often alone, for a long time.
You should be proud. You have brought yourself so far, but you also deserve support along the way.
At Root & Rise, our clinicians work with people who come in with self-awareness, language, and genuine commitment to their own growth, and who are ready for the kind of deep, consistent support that takes healing somewhere new.
We're currently accepting new clients in Fort Collins, Grand Junction, and Durango, and virtually across Colorado. Most major insurance accepted. Book a free 15 minute consultation at the link at rootandrisecollective.org.
