Famous Women in STEM: Temple Grandin β¨οΈ
Temple Grandin is an animal scientist and professor at Colorado State University who revolutionized the livestock industry by designing more humane handling systems, now used in over half of North American cattle facilities. Diagnosed with autism at a young age, she has spent decades advocating for neurodivergent people and proving that thinking differently is a superpower, not a limitation.
She proves that the minds that see the world differently are often the ones that change it. π

Famous Women in STEM: Wangari Maathai β¨οΈ
Wangari Maathai was a Kenyan environmentalist and the first African woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize, awarded in 2004 for her work founding the Green Belt Movement, an initiative that planted over 47 million trees across Kenya while empowering women in rural communities. Her activism extended far beyond trees, she fought for human rights and democracy too.
She proves that protecting the planet and fighting for people are never separate causes. π³

Famous Women in STEM: Rosalind Franklin β¨οΈ
Rosalind Franklin was a British chemist and X-ray crystallographer whose painstaking imaging work produced Photo 51, the clearest image of DNA's double helix structure ever captured at the time. Her data was used without her knowledge to confirm the structure of DNA, yet she never received the Nobel Prize awarded to her male colleagues.
She proves that the work always speaks for itself, even when the world takes too long to listen. π¬
