Here’s the finished sublimated mandala.

While I was waiting on the polycrylic to dry on my mandala, I sublimated these tear drop earrings. So shiny!

The finished lamp! I created the design to fan around like those paper ornaments. But this is wood, so I couldn’t just fold and glue! 😂 I have a wood circle at the bottom holding all the feet together and two gears at top that all the wood pieces slide into. Wood glue secures the sections together.

Today’s Christmas gift build: it will be a lamp when I’m done. I designed the sides to fan around. I filled the holes with different colors of resin and now those are fully cured. Next step: YouTube videos to make sure I get the electrical cord knot right.

When I make resin projects, I keep a mold nearby for excess resin. I made a bunch of these little hearts yesterday. I will drill holes in the tops, screw a loop in, and make pendants out of them.

I cut one of my reindeer coaster designs and filled the empty space with resin. It was good practice trying to fill some of the thin spaces but I’m pretty excited with how it turned out.

There’s a lot of teeth marks on my scissors recently. I have been doing a lot of crafting lately and left the scissors on my craft table where the cat likes to sit if he’s not getting enough attention. 🤣 Silly cat!

I created a new Christmas laser cutter design. The trees slot into the top layer of the base and is made for 4 different thicknesses of wood or acrylic.

I bought and carved a pumpkin simply to see the squirrels come and destroy it. They’ve attacked every pumpkin on our block and it’s just delightful seeing them dive into a pumpkin, pull the seeds out and snack. With winter coming, they need to pack on the pounds.

I pounded metal! I’ve been toying with jewelry making for a couple decades now but haven’t done much with metal. I bought these metal blanks for stamping just so I could hammer them. It was fun!

I designed this stylistic mandala sun design for a special project I am working on. It’s one of the layers from my Steampunk Spider laser cut set I am selling in my shop, but I had to alter it to get it to cut nicely at 2.25”. I then stained it orange and added yellow and red sponge paint to give it a fiery look.

I tried resin for the first time today. This cat is from my Victorian Cat laser cut set. I added a loop to the second cat layer and cut it at 4” tall. I used .resin to fill in the holes. Now I just have to keep the cat out of my room for 24 hours. 🤣

I painted the steampunk octopus design I cut recently. The cut was a test before I listed the files in my shop. The painting was just for me. I rearranged the layers to separate the gears from each other. What do you think?

Tried print and cut for the first time yesterday. Yeah, I know… what took me so long? I cut this pretty card stock to 8.5 x 11 and made this bubble message. I’m happy with it.

Thanks to I was able to cut all 7 layers in a little less than an hour and a half. With my old laser, this was an 11 hour job!

I got a Gelli plate and am trying out some techniques I saw on YouTube. This is a lot of fun but I need to learn to think of the layers I want to create in reverse. Have you tried one of these? Any tips?

My inspiration for this one was a tile I saw at a restaurant near my home. I love the geometric nature of tiles and how much fun they are to make. I thought it would be lovely to make a 3D laser cut design of a tile, so I did! You could treat these like regular tiles, make a few and place them together. I designed this at 5.25" so it can go pretty small. Mix up the layers and colors for a lot of variation. This is now available in my Etsy shop.

Uploaded a new laser cut mandala design into my shops. This one is based on the heraldic drawings of tulips included in many family crests. It has 5 layers which can be mixed up.

My updated Steampunk Octopus laser cut design is now available in my Etsy shop. I added a bubbles layer in the background to replace the swirly layer that was too “air” like instead of watery. 😄 Here's some of the ways you can mix up the layers and colors to create some really cool varieties of octopus art.

A few more test cuts. The ornate Victorian frame on the top left was difficult to remove but I did it! These were cut at 7” square. I’m going to add more to the gears layer on the far right just to keep that small gear intact.

A butterfly mandala set of cut files is available in all of my shops. I tested this one yesterday on thick card stock (about 80 lb). The top two layers of just the butterfly could be used in a variety of paper cutting projects.

Test run of a new design I’m working on. Need to do some cleanup & then it will go in my shops.

I painted the background and the sun. I will add a glow to the sun later.

Glued the sunrise raven to a pale pink background that I sponge painted with a little off-white. Now to paint the canvas.

Lucca decided to try his hand at paper cutting art by deconstructing the paper cat I cut a couple days ago. Sigh. 🤣

Color is its own language that tells a story and helps you read between the lines.
