What do you do when you finally run out of excuses…
and realize your life looks the way it does because of YOUR choices, not anybody else’s?
You’ve only got two options:
You can sit around with the “woe is me” mindset, feeling sorry for yourself…
OR
You can bow down to the One true God, surrender the old version of yourself, and give your life to Jesus — the only One who can take a broken story and turn it into redemption, purpose, and freedom.
That’s the heart behind my book Excuse Me From Excuses.
I wrote it because I lived it.
I’ve been the guy pointing fingers.
I’ve been the guy ruining my own life and blaming everyone else.
I’ve also been the guy who finally surrendered — and watched God rebuild everything from the inside out.
If you’re tired of circling the same mountain…
If you’re tired of the excuses…
If you’re ready for real change…
👉 This book is for you.
Excuses won’t save you — but Jesus will.

**CHAPTER INTRO
When Sobriety Becomes Life or Death**
There comes a moment in every man’s journey when the battle is no longer theoretical — it’s life or death. Sobriety stops being a program, a goal, or a phase… and becomes a crossroads. A place where everything hangs in the balance.
People who haven’t lived this fight will never truly understand it. To them, the choice seems simple.
Just stop.
Just walk away.
Just get it together.
But you and I both know it’s never that easy.
Not when the chains have wrapped themselves around your identity.
Not when addiction becomes the place you run to, even when it’s killing you.
Not when the war isn’t just physical — it’s spiritual.
I know that battle.
I’ve been in that place where the mind lies, the heart breaks, and the spirit feels dead.
I’ve stood at that crossroads with trembling hands, wondering if I had anything left in me to fight.
And here’s the truth most people will never understand:
There is only one choice that delivers you eternally.
Not the choice to be perfect.
Not the choice to pretend.
The choice to surrender.
The choice to step into the life God has been calling you to — even when walking into that light feels like stepping out of your own grave.
The Bible makes it unmistakably clear:
“I have set before you life and death… now choose life.” — Deuteronomy 30:19
Choosing sobriety isn’t choosing rules — it’s choosing LIFE.
A life of purpose.
A life of freedom.
A life God designed for you before the foundation of the world.
This chapter is not about judgment.
It’s about truth.
It’s about understanding that the road from chains to change is narrow, painful, and rarely understood by those who never had to crawl out of darkness themselves.
But you’re here.
You’re reading this.
And that means the story isn’t over.
This chapter is your reminder — and your challenge:
Excuse yourself from the excuses.
Step out of the chains.
And choose the only path that leads to life, now and eternally.
Amen

🙏 Thank You for Following My Author Page
After countless trips to the penitentiary, I finally found a way to quit — not just a temporary change, but a true transformation through Christ.
Through God’s grace, I’ve been completely renewed, and I’ve poured that journey into the books I’ve written. These books aren’t about perfection — they’re about redemption, discipline, and the no-excuse lifestyle that comes from surrendering to God.
I ran out of excuses. I stopped living in the “woe-is-me” mindset and finally took responsibility for the man God called me to be.
Are you fed up? Do you want to change your situation?
Guess what — you can’t do it alone.
But I know a Guy who can — His name is Jesus Christ.
Stop complaining. Stop cycling through the same pain expecting a different outcome.
It’s time to break free from the insanity and become the man God created you to be.
🔥 Transformation is possible — I’m living proof.

⏰ Time: God’s Greatest Blessing Wasted By Most
by Michael Rogers
We pray for blessings, yet waste the one we’ve already been given — time.
Every second is a seed. What you plant today determines the harvest you see tomorrow.
Don’t just count your days. Make your days count.
Use your time to grow, serve, and fulfill God’s purpose for your life.
✨ I need your help spreading this message.
Every time someone buys a paperback copy of this book, I donate one to a prison, rehab center, or someone lost who needs hope.
Let’s turn time into transformation — together. ⛓️➡️✝️

Time: God's Greatest Blessing Wasted By Most Time is the one resource every person is given equally — yet it is the most squandered. In , Michael Rogers challenges readers to see time not as something to be spent carelessly, but as a divine gift entrusted by God for eternal purpose.

There comes a moment in life when you realize that the only thing standing between where you are and where you’re meant to be… is you.
Once you run out of excuses, everything begins to change.
It’s easy to point fingers at the past — at who hurt you, who left you, or what went wrong. But freedom starts the moment you decide to stop running from your story and start owning it. Your past doesn’t define you — it refines you. Every failure, every disappointment, every heartbreak has been molding you into the person God created you to become.
Use your pain to find your purpose. Stop letting it paralyze you and start letting it push you. There’s power in the struggle if you’re willing to see it. The very thing that tried to destroy you might be the same thing God uses to deliver you.
Get off your butt and put in the work. Faith without action is dead — and purpose without discipline will never come to life. God already placed gifts, talents, and callings inside you, but it’s on you to activate them. The world doesn’t need another person with potential — it needs people with commitment.
No more holding onto what could’ve been. The past is over, and the future isn’t promised. The most powerful thing you can ever do is to live in the present — right here, right now. Because this moment is all you truly have, and what you do with it determines what your legacy will be.
This is what “Excuse Me From Excuses” is all about — breaking free from the chains of self-pity, regret, and fear, and stepping into accountability, growth, and faith.
It’s about learning that your excuses don’t protect you; they imprison you. And the second you stop making them, life begins to open up in ways you never thought possible.
It’s time to stop asking “Why me?” and start saying “Use me.”
It’s time to rise up, take ownership, and walk in the freedom that God has already given you.
💥 “Excuse Me From Excuses” isn’t just a book — it’s a mindset, a movement, and a call to action.
If you’re ready to stop talking about change and start living it — this is your moment.

“From Prison to Purpose”
I remember sitting in a prison cell during COVID, wishing I could feel the sun on my face again. Just over three years ago, I was wondering if I’d ever get another chance at life.
Now I thank God for every struggle and every blessing — because through it all, He was working.
Look at what He’s done in my life now. What the enemy meant for harm, God turned into healing, purpose, and freedom.
If He can do it for me, He can do it for you. Don’t give up — your comeback is already written.
