Happy August from KB photography, it’s been a quiet few weeks around here, my family and I took a much needed vacation. Now that we’re back I’m ready to concur the rest of 2022! I have very few dates left open for the remainder of the year so if your thinking of family pictures for fall now is the time to book.
I will be posting details regarding Christmas minis in September, be on the look out. The sessions that I am opening up will be during the month of November.
I’m looking forward to getting back behind the camera and seeing everyone’s smiling faces!

Preston & Skylar captured my heart during their engagement session. Their love for each other was something I’ll forever be grateful I was able to capture.
Sending you both all of the love & happiness!

Another day, another senior session. Connecting with seniors and hearing about all of their upcoming goals and dreams brings me such joy. Best wishes to Ryder as he heads to DBU in the fall!

Sitting down to edit last night and realizing how true the beautiful words below are. Wrapping up Christmas minis Sunday has me so thankful for my customers who trust in me with your special moments. I am so thankful to each and everyone of you.
I have added a picture of the girl below who brought me to where I am, my baby. This all started by wanting to make sure I captured her in her element and it grew into something I love, and will never take for granted.
A few words from Alford photography:
Your grandmother’s last hug is in the palm of our hands.
Literally.
Or least it has been many times before in our line of work.
We aren’t just talented.
We aren’t just someone for hire.
We aren’t just really good at position and color and angles and problem solving...
And we don’t want your arm or your leg.
We do however want to make you happy...really bad actually.
And we do hold memories and moments that you’ll never get back.
We add a little sparkle to them and send them back to you with forever in their future.
This time of year we are quite literally running. We are working to fit you in and we are often editing late into the night.
Do we make good money?
Yes. At times.
Do we also lose $1,200 in one week due to last minute cancellations and reschedules right before Christmas?
Yes.
But we love what we do.
We even love you.
And we love your moments.
We love capturing the way your baby runs towards you as the sun sets.
We love grasping the moment your daddy looks over at you as he walks you towards the new love of your life.
We have blisters after 12 hour weddings, we don’t eat for far too many hours at a time, we cringe when our past clients post asking for someone “cheaper” after we put our heart into their last session and we are our own worst critic.
But we relish in running through that field in October with your littles.
We feel privileged to have taken the last photo of so many grandparents.
And we cry with you when you tell us thank you for those things.
We’re your wedding day ally.
We’re your family session coordinator.
We’re your reassurance that “we did get at least one good one of your full of energy toddler.”
We’re your listening ear.
We’re your friend.
We’re your photographer.
And we hope to stay that way.
Yes, we’re hired...but we’re so much more than that.
You matter to us...
And so does your grandmother’s last hug.
Thank you for trusting us.
Thank you for being loyal to us.
Thank you for being patient with us.
We’re working really hard to add a little magic to your moments...
And it’s often while we miss out on some of our own. 🤍
