As summer comes to an end for Most Valuable Kids of Greater Atlanta youth and everyone is headed back to school or already in school, we hope that the 1,600 youth and chaperones who attended Candytopia are relishing their "sweet memories" . These same youth made beautiful cards which are being delivered with meals to Meals On Wheels Atlanta recipients ,to Senior Citizens at the The William Breman Jewish Home home and to The Westside Senior Center (Westside Future Fund, Westside on the Rise, Arthur M Blank Foundation). Thank you to Candytopia for providing the following Most Valuable Kids of Greater Atlanta agencies and schools a fun end of summer treat:. It is so amazing that Candytopia designated its last THREE days in Atlanta for community outreach! Everyone in the will miss the lines wrapping Peachtree and Oak Valley Road!

Ladies of Favor Mentoring Program making an IMPACT with AmbitiousX Learning Center !

April 29 was a night like no other! After getting to meet and know the Founder of the Ladies of Favor Mentoring Program, I came up with an awesome idea to coordinate and host a pre-gala celebration to honor the 20 young ladies who would be attending as honorees at the 10th anniversary gala. After learning about all of the different circumstances and situations many of these young ladies had overcame in life, I knew I wanted this night to be like no other they had ever experienced. I enlisted the help of several amazing sponsors and volunteers and put my program Royal Ribbons into full swing. The night was perfect and complete with full hair and makeup services by Krystal Miles, Isis Kenney, and Lexie Covie. I set up a wardrobe area which included assistance in getting into gowns and last minute seamstress service provided by Connie Melson Miller and Dixie Fowler Brookins. We served refreshments, painted nails, had a photo booth and even have the girls Royal Ribbons goodie bags filled with items that were donated by many people!!!! I would like to also thank Vanessa Partee Jackson, Joanne Southerland, Bella Miller, Karissa Nicole Lee, Heather Lee, Deborah Alderman Lee, and my family for their volunteer service/donations to make the pre-gala celebration a success. I was able to pull off a huge surprise during the gala where I crowed each of the 20 ladies and gave them each a hand sewn prayer bear and trophy as well. Then I crowned Mrs. Gabrielle Starr as the ultimate queen, because without her this amazing program would not be possible. I am honored to now be a part of this amazing program and family and look forward to many more events and projects in the future.
