Opening up the Pool: Diversity Improves Psychological Research

[03/08/21]   Dear undergraduate psychology majors,

Beginning Monday, March 8, students will be able to register for Summer Session 2021. Students will self-register via CUNYFirst. There is no specific student appointment time listed in CUNYFirst.

We will offer a "Senior Majors Only" Priority Period for required courses Psych 213W and Advanced Experimental. Priority is for Declared Psychology or Neuroscience Majors with Senior class standing (90-120+ credits, including credits in progress). Students in this category will be able to self-enroll via CUNYFirst.

Psych 213W will be open ONLY to SENIORS for the FIRST WEEK of Summer Enrollment (March 8- March 14).
Psych 213W will open for both JUNIOR AND SENIOR MAJORS starting on Monday, March 15th.

Advanced Experimental courses (Psych 311- Psych 321) will remain open ONLY to SENIORS until a TBA date in APRIL.

Due to popularity of our courses, getting into Psychology courses can be challenging. For this reason, we suggest three things:
(1) register via CUNYfirst, as early as you possibly can.
(2) if a course you want is closed, search for and seriously consider alternatives
(3) do not assume you can be overtallied into a closed course just because your graduation will be otherwise delayed.

All Registrations should be done by students via their CUNYFirst accounts. However, if you run into problems, we are here to help. For general assistance, email the virtual Psych Department at [email protected].

Queens College, City University of New York

This is just a reminder that the deadline for Spring 2021 graduation applications is Monday, March 1. Please see the Registrar’s webpage for specific information https://www.qc.cuny.edu/registrar/graduation/Pages/default.aspx

Queens College, City University of New York Only students who have met all requirements for graduation will be conferred. Your conferral date is the official graduation date on your transcript and diploma. Your degree will be processed and posted to your CUNYfirst account by Degree Audit Division within 10-14 weeks after the conferral date.....
