P*E DEE WEATHER: Some areas of rain and gusty storms will move across the region early Friday morning. This is all due to the remnants of Tropical Storm Arthur. Expect breezy conditions to begin overnight.
Rain will pick up to our west after midnight and move across South Carolina. Timing for the P*e Dee area: (earliest) 2am through (latest) 9am Friday.
We'll need to watch for some locally damaging winds and a low-end threat of a spin-up tornado.
Sunshine returns by Friday afternoon!

While much of Thursday will feature only scattered clouds, tropical moisture moves into the region Thursday evening and Thursday night. Weather models suggest developing rain and storms to our west and moving into Florence/the P*e Dee sometime during the evening hours.
The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted a marginal risk of severe storms. We'll need to pay attention for the risk of vivid lightning and potentially gusty/damaging winds in a couple of the storms.
The window would likely come from 4pm Thursday evening and continuing into the evening hours.

Tropical moisture moves in our direction Friday. That'll mean increased rain and storm chances for Florence and the P*e Dee. On Saturday, somewhat drier conditions move in from the north, and that should knock the humidity back for about 24 hours. Back to a summer weather pattern by Sunday.
