Howlin Hogs BBQ

I wanted to come here and make a post explaining why you haven't seen any activity here in a couple of months.
Most of you know we lost Johnny Muse awhile back. John was very close friend of mine and loosing him has sort of knocked me for a loop. I put the bbq thing on hold for awhile while I sorted things out in my mind. At this stage in my life its really been the toughest thing ive ever had to deal with. The last time I saw and talked with him was on a cook I did for a local church. I haven't lit a fire since then,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,until today.
Today im cooking some chickens for me and Carlene Massey Moomaw. Its been a bittersweet day to say the least.
I fully intend to continue on my bbq mission eventually, its just taking longer to process all of this than I realized it would.
I'll be back soon. Please dont give up on me.

Ohhhhhh just think of all the Brunswick and Smoked Chicken stews that will be available pretty often!!!! I CANT WAIT to get going!!

I lost a good friend yesterday. He was a super nice guy. He always came and helped me when I did home cooks,,,,,,,without being asked. He would just show up. I thought about what I could possibly do to maybe help the family out just a bit. So I decided to do what I do best.
I think they will like this, at least I hope so. I know they are devastated right now. Frank was 41 years old. Way too young. I cant imagine loosing a child.
If you pray, please say a prayer for the Townsell family. They need all they can get rite now.
